The Round of 16 continues on Monday night as one of the best matchups of this stage of the competition takes place as the USA takes on Belgium.

81′: CHANCE. Folarin Balogun gets in behind the Belgian defense on the left side but his shot is saved by Courtois. It was a tight angle on his weaker foot.
75′: This one is slipping away from the United States. Chances have been hard to come by, and there’s not much time remaining.
56′: GOAL FOR BELGIUM. What is Matt Freese doing there? He gets to the long ball first before the Belgian player, and for some reason decides to take a touch instead of clearing it. It gets intercepted by Belgium and falls to Hans Vanaken who puts it in. Tim Ream was behind the ball and had a chance to block it but failed to do so. A very disappointing goal to concede. United States 1-3 Belgium.
53′: No clear chances yet in this half, but the U.S. looks like a different team compared to the first half.
HT: United States 1-2 Belgium. The U.S. has had three shots and one on target compared to 11 shots and five on target for Belgium. On DraftKings Sportsbook, the Belgians are currently -200 on the moneyline. A draw is priced at +275 while the USA moneyline is set at +650.
44′: CHANCE. A long throw is flicked on at the near post to Folarin Balogun who gets ahead of his defender but skies the shot over the bar.
32′: GOAL FOR BELGIUM. That didn’t take long. Charles De Ketelaere gets his second of the game; this time it’s a cross from Leandro Trossard who finds the head of De Ketelaere. United States 1-2 Belgium.
30′: GOAL FOR THE UNITED STATES. Malik Tillman does it again from a free kick. This one is further out than the free kick against Bosnia, but it deflects off a Belgian defender and goes in. United States 1-1 Belgium.
23′: Tough start here for the Americans. Belgium has looked like the better team and had the only chances of the game. The United States haven’t even had a sniff at goal yet.
8′: GOAL FOR BELGIUM. It’s horrific defending from the U.S., as they fail to make a clearance and the ball is eventually crossed across the face of the goal to Charles De Ketelaere, who taps it into an empty net. USA 0-1 Belgium.
1′: CHANCE. Belgium put the USA under pressure from the kickoff, and Timothy Castagne takes a shot from the edge of the box that forces a world-class save from Matt Freese. Early warning sign for the U.S.
1′: And we’re off! We have kickoff in Seattle, and this Round of 16 matchup is underway.
