Check out my pick for Omar Trinidad vs. Jerwin Ancajas below.
Omar Trinidad by Decision or Technical Decision (+110)
Trinidad last fought in January at Zuffa Boxing 01, where he beat Max Ornelas by 10th-round knockout. That was his first win by stoppage since he beat Viktor Slavinskyi in July 2024. On BoxRec, Trinidad is No. 7 in their Featherweight rankings, while his opponent, Ancajas, is No. 33. Ancajas is four years older than Trinidad and has 20 more fights on his resume. Since his previous loss to Takuma Inoue, Ancajas has won four consecutive fights. Now, Ancajas is returning two months after beating Ruben Antonio Tostado Garcia.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Trinidad is a -390 favorite with Ancajas being the underdog at +290. This fight has an over/under of 8.5 rounds, with the over being -190 and the under being +140. Trinidad is +110 to win by decision and +175 to pick up the victory by KO/TKO/DQ. Although Ancajas has more experience, Trinidad has faced tougher competition recently. Even though Trinidad scored a knockout in his last fight, his previous three wins were by decision. With Trinidad being such a big favorite, I’m taking him to win on the judges’ scorecards at +110.
