Between Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, Obsession, Disclosure Day and Backrooms, the 2026 summer movie season has largely been defined by sci-fi blockbusters and disturbing horror flicks. Scary Movie broke the mold by introducing horror-comedy to the mix, paving the way for another cult-classic franchise to return to the box office with plenty of gross-out laughs. Jackass: Best and Last hit theaters nationwide on June 26, opening alongside Supergirl. So how did the fifth film in the stunt comedy series perform against the second weekend of Toy Story 5?

Jackass: Best and Last made an estimated $8.4 million at the box office between June 26 and June 28. For comparison, Jackass: The Movie opened to $22.8 million back in 2002 shortly after the show’s run on MTV came to a close. Jackass Number Two grossed $29.0 million over its opening weekend in 2006, while Jackass 3D scored a $50.4 million opening weekend in 2010 and jackass forever landed at $23.2 million when it opened in 2022. Adjusted for inflation, Jackass 3D‘s opening weekend sits atop the rankings at $76.3 million, followed by Jackass: Number Two at $52.9 million, Jackass: The Movie at $46.9 million, jackass forever at $26.3 million and now Jackass: Best and Last.
According to Deadline and Variety, Jackass: Best and Last made $1.2 million in Thursday night previews. That cash is technically counted as part of the film’s $3.8 million Friday gross. Jackass: Best and Last is on track for the third-highest domestic opening weekend by a non-family comedy in 2026 so far. The bar to crack the top-10 wasn’t particularly high, though, since the No. 10 spot previously belonged to How to Make a Killing at $3.5 million. And even then, that is stretching the definition to include four-quadrant franchise fare like The Devil Wears Prada 2, horror-comedies like Scary Movie and Ready or Not 2: Here I Come and rom-coms like Solo Mio and You, Me & Tuscany.
Looking beyond the United States and Canada, Jackass: Best and Last has reeled in an additional $1.9 million across 19 overseas markets. In total, the film grossed $10.3 million worldwide over its opening weekend. Jackass 3D remains the franchise’s biggest box office hit at $171.5 million globally, followed by Jackass: Number Two at $85.3 million, Jackass: The Movie at $79.3 million and jackass forever at $74.8 million. As for the spinoff, Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa, that grossed $160.9 million worldwide when it hit theaters in 2013.
