Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve exited Saturday’s game against the Detroit Tigers early.

There’s no official word yet on whether the move came as a result of an injury to Altuve, but he was notably shaken up after a collision on the basepaths earlier in the game. He was eventually replaced in the field during the late innings by Raynel Delgado.

Altuve went just 1-for-5 with a strikeout on Saturday.

The 36-year-old second baseman has dealt with some struggles at the plate this season. His .708 OPS is the lowest since the 2020 campaign, slashing just .240/.313/.395. In 61 games, he has 56 hits, 36 runs, 21 RBI and eight home runs.

The Astros are 40-44, fourth in the AL West prior to the conclusion of today’s game against Detroit.
