Check out my best bet for the Main Event of UFC Baku between Rafael Fiziev vs. Manuel Torres.
Manuel Torres Moneyline (-112)
Although Fiziev was born in Kazakhstan, his father is from Azerbaijan, which is the country he represents in the UFC. From October 2019 to July 2022, Fiziev went on a six-fight winning streak in the UFC with wins over Renato Moicano, King Green, and Rafael Dos Anjos. But since then, he has been 1-4 in his previous five contests and has struggled against top-tier opponents at 155 pounds. He lost his previous fight to Mauricio Ruffy at UFC 325, with his last win coming against Ignacio Bahamondes a year ago.
Torres, 31, has flown under the radar in a stacked Lightweight division but is one of the most dangerous finishers at 155 pounds. He is 5-1 in the UFC with five first-round finishes. In his career, 16 of Torres’ 17 wins have come by a finish in the first round. His previous three victories have come against Grant Dawson, Drew Dober, and Chris Duncan. Although his last two wins have come by knockout, he is a well-rounded fighter with seven career submissions.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Torres is a -112 favorite with Fiziev being -108 to win this fight. This fight has an over/under of 1.5 rounds, with the over being -154 and the under being +120. Torres is taller (5’10” vs. 5’8″) and has a greater standing reach (73″ vs. 71″), which should be a difference-maker in this contest. If Torres can keep Fiziev at range while unleashing a high volume of punches, success should be in store for the rising contender.
