Monday’s game between the Chicago Cubs and New York Mets has been postponed due to rain.
First pitch was initially scheduled for 7:10 p.m. ET at Citi Field but inclement weather in the area has led to the game’s postponement.
A reschedule date has already been provided, too. The matchup will be made up as part of a split doubleheader on Wednesday.
The Cubs are 40-37 on the year and are seven games back of the lead in a tough NL Central. As for the Mets, it’s been a season to forget with a 34-43 record, good for last in the NL East.
