When does The Vampire Lestat episode 3 come out on AMC?

The Vampire Lestat Episode 3 airs Sunday, June 21, at 9 p.m. ET on AMC. The episode, titled “Toronto,” will also stream on AMC+.

The title keeps the fake tour map moving, but Episode 3 sounds like the season’s first major excavation. After “Detroit” introduced Lestat’s rock-star grievance machine and “Toledo” pulled Gabriella into the light, “Toronto” finally puts Daniel Molloy across from Lestat in a proper interview chair. That should thrill Daniel. It should irritate Lestat. It should make everyone else reach for reinforced glass.

Spoilers follow for The Vampire Lestat Episode 2, “Toledo.”

The Vampire Lestat episode 3 preview

Episode 2 gave Lestat a family wound, a love song, and a balcony visit from Louis. Jennifer Ehle’s Gabriella arrived as mother, mirror, and psychic trespasser, reaching the version of Lestat that predates the leather, lights, book feud, and immortal branding. “Why Do I Have to Feel?” landed because he sang it like a complaint filed against the human condition. Even his softness arrives with staging, lighting, and plausible deniability.

Louis’ side of “Toledo” went colder. Raglan James and Rashid brought him a Talamasca problem in Detroit, with Claudia’s name used as bait. That gives “Toronto” a sharp split: Lestat performs self-mythology under Daniel Molloy’s glare, while Louis follows a ghost the old story never buried.

The official synopsis sends Daniel into Lestat’s Paris years, his childhood friend, and his transformation. Anne Rice readers know the charge inside those phrases. Nicolas de Lenfent carries Lestat’s mortal hunger for art, escape, and a life beyond provincial France. Magnus carries the uglier inheritance: abduction, violation, immortality, and cosmic bad luck dressed as a gift.

“Toronto” should push beneath the guitars, eyeliner, fake merch, and Sam Reid’s heroic commitment to rock-star foolishness. Lestat was an actor before he was a singer. He was watched before he was worshiped. Armand’s return only thickens that history, pulling the tour’s present into the older vampire order. The first two episodes found the new rhythm. Episode 3 has a harder job: turn Lestat’s spectacle into biography while keeping every tooth intact.
