SP Cam Schlittler, New York Yankees vs. Boston Red Sox ($10,700)
Armed with a blazing four-seamer, a sharp cutter, and a diving sinker, Cam Schlittler’s game plan is simple: here’s a fastball — try to hit it. OF Yordan Alvarez, Houston Astros vs. Athletics ($5,900)
Yordan Alvarez’s 22nd home run of the season came in grand fashion on Saturday. The no-doubt, bases-clearing blast not only blew open the evening’s AL West clash with the Athletics, but it also put him in the driver’s seat in all American League triple crown categories.
The Astros superstar, 28, is hitting .319 with an MLB-best 1.092 OPS and 48 RBIs in 2026. He’s gone 8-for-15 (.553) with a pair of extra-base hits and three walks in five games since the calendar flipped to June.
Naturally, same-side pitching matchups have done little to neutralize the lefty slugger. Alvarez has actually been even more effective when facing southpaws this season, sporting a video-game-like .716 slugging percentage against them — a figure that nearly matches the entire OPS (.726) of prized Dodgers’ recruit Kyle Tucker.
While rookie southpaw Gage Jump has impressed in his first taste of big league action — sporting a 3.75 ERA through two starts (12 IP) — he has yet to face someone like Alvarez. A potential “Welcome to the Big Leagues” moment awaits Jump in Sunday’s series finale.
1B/OF Dominic Smith, Atlanta Braves vs. Pittsburgh Pirates ($3,700)
Following a brief six-game slump, Dominic Smith got back on track Saturday night, lifting an opposite-field, two-run shot to help power Atlanta’s 6–3 victory over the Pirates. The home run marked his sixth of the season, and the non-roster invitee is hitting .309 with an .830 OPS and 28 RBIs for the MLB-best Braves in a resurgent 2026 campaign.
While Smith, 30, has cooled slightly after a blistering start, the lefty slugger rarely strikes out and remains a formidable power threat against right-handed pitching. He has also thrived in the sunlight, posting an impressive .924 OPS across 14 day games.
Smith is well-positioned to build momentum in Sunday’s series finale, facing floundering Pirates youngster Bubba Chandler. The 23-year-old righty has gotten crushed to the tune of a 5.05 ERA (4.47 xERA) and a 1.53 WHIP in 12 starts (57 IP), struggling to induce chases and keep the ball on the ground.
