Royals vs. Twins game delayed due to rain Friday 6/5/26

Friday night’s game between the Kansas City Royals and Minnesota Twins at Target Field has been delayed due to rain.

This is the second game of a four-game series between the two teams. Kansas City enters the matchup at 25-38, while Minnesota comes in at 29-35.

Zebby Matthews is scheduled to start for the Twins. The right-hander enters Friday at 1-3 with a 4.60 FIP and a 21.1% K-BB%. He’s allowed five home runs in 23.1 innings.

Michael Wacha is scheduled to start for the Royals. The right-hander enters at 4-3 with a 3.91 FIP and 12.9% K-BB%. He’s allowed eight home runs in 75.1 innings.

The Royals starting lineup is Carter Jensen, Bobby Witt Jr, Vinnie Pasquantino, Salvador Perez, Jac Caglanone, Isaac Collins, Michael Massey, Nick Loftin and Kyle Isbel.

The Twins will trot out Byron Buxton, Brooks Lee, Kody Clemens, Josh Bell, Orlando Arcia, Luke Keaschall, Austin Martin, Ryan Kreidler and Alex Jackson.
