15 games between 30 teams are set for Wednesday across Major League Baseball. For those looking to cash in quickly on a bet, nothing makes more sense than an NRFI. With that being said, there’s more to this one than meets the eye. Some pitchers thrive early, while others take more time to get settled in than others. Which NRFI picks are worth a closer look today?

Best NRFI Prop Bets Today
Royals vs. Reds NRFI (-130)
Stephen Kolek is by no means a household name, but the right-hander has impressed since joining the Royals last season. Over five starts in 2026 with Kansas City, he’s notched a 3.48 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 19 strikeouts (5.5 K/9). During ten career outings with the team, Kolek has allowed a first inning run only once (90% NRFI). Tonight’s opponents, the Reds, tend to start off slow on offense. Cincinnati’s lineup has a 26.67% YRFI rate, ninth-worst in baseball.
On the other side, it’ll be Chase Burns toeing the slab this evening. It’s been a terrific campaign from the 23-year-old, already among the National League’s top arms. Through 64.1 innings of work, he’s recorded a 1.96 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 72 strikeouts (10.1 K/9). Just as impressive, Burns has yet to allow a first inning run over 11 starts. He shouldn’t have too much difficulty navigating this Royals lineup, among the worst in baseball. Kansas City owns a 22.95% YRFI rate, sixth-lowest in the sport. To boot, this group is averaging an MLB-worst 3.82 runs per game. It’s difficult to envision an offensive outburst on Wednesday against Cincinnati’s electric ace.
Rockies vs. Angels NRFI (-120)
On an otherwise loaded slate of games, this might be the least anticipated matchup on the board. Still, value can be found in the strangest of places. Michael Lorenzen has been awful during his first season in Colorado. Over 57.1 frames, the veteran is on the hook for a 7.22 ERA and 1.90 WHIP. However, that’s partially a result of pitching at hitter-friendly Coors Field. Away from home, the right-hander has posted a more respectable 5.04 ERA. Most important, he’s terrific to open up games. Lorenzen has a sparkling 82% NRFI rate since 2025, among the best in baseball during that time. The Angels are averaging 3.50 runs per game at home, second-worst in the AL.
As for the Halos, they’ll hand the ball to Walbert Urena tonight. Despite starting the year as a relative unknown, the Dominican is carving out a spot in Los Angeles’ rotation. Over ten appearances (eight starts), he’s produced a 2.44 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 41 strikeouts (8.3 K/9). That includes solid showings against quality lineups such as the Rays and Athletics. In addition, the rookie has allowed a first inning run only once this season (88% NRFI). On the road, Colorado owns a meager 20.59% YRFI rate; that’s the league’s eighth-lowest mark. Urena is set up nicely for another stellar outing on Wednesday.
