UPDATE: Severino left the game due to right arm soreness.
In the top of the second inning of Friday’s game against the New York Yankees, Luis Severino was replaced by Jose Suarez. Severino suffered an injury while warming up prior to the start of the inning. There’s been no mention of the exact nature of the injury.
Before exiting, Severino pitched one inning, struck out one and allowed four runs and three hits, one of which was a home run by Paul Goldschmidt. All four runs were unearned due to an error.
Since Severino faced more than five batters, he is not eligible for DraftKings Early Exit.
