Red Sox vs. Royals game delayed due to inclement weather Sunday 9/13/26

The start of Sunday’s Dodgers-Tigers series finale has been delayed because of inclement weather in Detroit. First pitch at Comerica Park had been scheduled for 1:40 p.m. ET.

The weather continues to bedevil the start of the Sox/Royals game at Fenway. The game’s starting time up in the air, and further delays possible as showers cross the greater boston area. The Red Sox announced Saturday that first pitch would move from 1:35 p.m. ET to 3:05 p.m. ET. That revised time remains fluid, and we’ll keep you updated here.

Payton Tolle is scheduled to start for Boston, with Willson Contreras returning to the lineup after being shelved for several weeks. The Red Sox beat Kansas City 5-1 on Saturday, evening the series at one game apiece. Sunday also closes Boston’s current homestand.
