PITCHER
Stud
Reid Detmers, Los Angeles Angels vs. Seattle Mariners ($8,800) — Through 168 innings, Reid is posting a 3.04 FIP with a 21.7 K-BB% while allowing only 17 home runs. On the season, he’s gone over 30 FPTS five times. Now he gets to face a Mariners team that is 10th in strikeouts, 28th in ISO, dead-last in wOBA and 25th in wRC+ against left-handed pitching.
Value
Dean Kremer, Minnesota Twins vs. New York Yankees ($6,600) — The season-long numbers are gross for Kremer, as the FIP is 5.13 while allowing 16 home runs in 71.2 innings. He’s finished with single-digit FPTS five times with two of those in the negatives. I can’t believe I’m writing this but this is more of a matchup play against the Yankees. On the road, New York is second in strikeouts, 26th in wOBA and 22nd in wRC+. Kremer has put up double-digit FPTS nine times with three over 20 and a high of 30.6 FPTS.

Francisco Lindor, New York Mets vs. Baltimore Orioles ($4,600) — Lindor has clubbed four home runs in the last five games, with two of those in one contest. On the season, the ISO is .214 with a 91.2 mph average exit velocity, 19 degree launch angle and 9.3% barrel rate. Against right-handed pitching, 15 home runs have been hit while the ISO is .233 with a 128 wRC+. Brandon Young has allowed a 4.92 FIP and 5.8 K-BB% to lefties.
Value
Josh Smith, Toronto Blue Jays vs. Detroit Tigers ($2,200) — Since being acquired by Toronto, Smith has a 32.1% strikeout rate and 82.8 mph average exit velocity. But, but, but….the walk rate is 12.5%, slash is .267/.370/.600 with a .333 ISO. He has five home runs, 13 runs, seven RBI and a stolen base in 56 plate appearances. Troy Melton has allowed 11 home runs in 62 innings against lefties while the FIP is 5.26 with an 8.5 K-BB%.
OUTFIELD
Stud
Jackson Merrill, San Diego Padres at Colorado Rockies ($5,500) — Merrill has 25 home runs, 77 runs, 80 RBI and 26 stolen bases in 610 plate appearances. Oh, did I forget to mention that this game is in Coors Field? And that he will be facing Tomoyuki Sugano, who has allowed 21 home runs to lefties while the FIP is 6.28 with a 7.6 K-BB%.
Value
Emmanuel Rodriguez, Minnesota Twins vs. New York Yankees ($2,200) — With Byron Buxton done for the season, Rodriguez will likely take over center field duties. In his debut, he hit a solo home run. In 220 Triple-A plate appearances this year, he hit 11 home runs with 36 runs, 33 RBI and seven stolen bases while the walk rate was 19.1%, strikeout rate was 26.4% and the ISO was .238.
