WNBA Injury News: Latest Kelsey Plum Updates 5/26/26

It’s been a rough day for Los Angeles Sparks fans. Kelsey Plum went down in practice with a leg injury this morning, and fans across the WNBA anxiously awaited her diagnosis. Now, we have official word.

The operative words here are “re-evaluated”. Ankle sprains often take up to a month to properly heal, depending on the severity. All that re-evaluation means is that Plum will be on the shelf for a week, and the injury will be re-examined in a week, but it’s no guarantee she will be cleared to return at that point. However, it is possible that re-evaluation gives a more concrete timeline for Plum’s return.

Plum, 31, is leading the WNBA in scoring with 26.8 points per game. The Sparks have one of the top offenses in the league, and will sorely miss their lead guard.

Stay tuned to the DraftKings Network for updates on Plum’s injury status.
