Game 4 between the OKC Thunder and the San Antonio Spurs will tip off at 6 PM EST in OKC. The Thunder currently lead the series 2-1 and the Spurs will try to prevent a likely fatal 3-1 lead.

This article will look at my top Pick6 plays for tonight’s slate. We simply choose whether a player will record more or less of the set statistic. Here are my favorite plays for tonight’s action.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Less Than 29.5 Points
Gilgeous-Alexander is averaging 26.7 PPG this series on .391/.286/.963 shooting splits. His efficiency has been butchered by the Spurs’ perimeter pressure and Victor Wembanyama’s ability to alter any shot remotely close to the rim. His ability to get to the line has kept his PPG afloat, with nine trips per game thus far in this series.
Fortunately for SGA, he’s still been finding ways to be effective on the court even when his shot is unreliable. He’s averaging 11 APG this series, passing out of blitzes and crashing the defense with his ability to drive and force help from multiple defenders. This formula has been working out for OKC, with the Thunder holding a 2-1 lead. The Thunder are one Wemby 30-footer away from being up 3-0 in this series. Gilgeous-Alexander likely won’t have a massive scoring night tonight, and the game script also doesn’t need him to.
Jared McCain More Than 12.5 Points
Sixers fans look away. McCain has been finding tremendous impact in this series as a sparkplug bench scorer whose minutes have risen in three consecutive games. Jalen Williams’ hamstring injury has made McCain’s role concrete. In Game 3, McCain torched the Spurs for 24 on 10/21 shooting.
We have to expect Williams to be sidelined for at least the rest of this series, paving the way for McCain to seize a high-usage bench role for maybe the remainder of the playoffs. His spacing is a huge boon for the Thunder’s offense and Mark Daigneault will be eager to ride the hot hand.
Victor Wembanyama Less Than 13.5 Rebounds
After consecutive monstrous rebounding games in the first two contests of this series during which Wembanyama recorded 24 and 17 rebounds, he pulled down only four in Game 3. OKC made it a point to control possessions by neutralizing Victor, matching up stronger and bigger players like Isaiah Hartenstein and Jaylin Williams to battle him on the boards. Wembanyama finished with zero offensive rebounds despite playing heavy minutes.
OKC is also pulling him away from the rim. Wemby was busy contesting shots outside of his rebounding space and spent time covering ground as a deterrent rather than camped near the rim, where he can most effectively alter shots. The Thunder will need to continue pulling Wemby away from the basket while the Spurs need to do the opposite of finding ways to keep Victor in the zone where he is most effective.
