OG Anunoby injury update: Is Anunoby playing in Game 3 vs. the 76ers?

The New York Knicks will be without OG Anunoby for Game 3 against the Philadelphia 76ers. The forward suffered a hamstring strain toward the end of Game 2 and was questionable following the victory.

Anunoby has dealt with hamstring injuries in the past, so it isn’t surprising that New York is playing it safe. ESPN’s Shams Charania reported earlier that Anunoby was attempting to play tonight, but he has ultimately been ruled out.

This is a tough break for the Knicks, as Anunoby’s stellar play on both ends of the floor has led to six playoff victories this year. The forward is averaging 21.4 points and 7.5 rebounds per game while shooting 61.9% from the field and 53.8% from three. He’s doing this while providing elite-level defense.

New York leads 2-0 heading into Game 3. Following the news of Anunoby’s injury, the Knicks are 3.5-point underdogs on DraftKings Sportsbook. The 76ers are -162 favorites, with the game total set at 214.5.
