Malik Nabers injury status: Will Giants star wide receiver play vs. Cowboys?

Nabers tore his ACL and right meniscus in Week 4 of last season. He underwent surgery soon after and the recovery process began. During the spring, though, a cleanup procedure was performed to remove scar tissue. While the recovery timeline wasn’t changed, skepticism abounded all offseason to when Nabers would return to action.

Even after Nabers returned to practice, the doubt remained. Hours prior to Sunday night’s game, the Giants cleared Nabers but ultimately put the final decision in his hands.

Well, he’s baaaaaack.

Not only was Nabers activated, but he looked excited in pregame warmups.

When healthy, Nabers is arguably one of the best wide receivers in the league. During his rookie season, he caught 109 of 170 targets for 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns in 15 games.

There is still some uncertainty as to how many snaps and targets Nabers will garner, but the wide receiver depth chart is barren while Nabers is a bona fide earner of targets for as long as he’s on the field. It’s unlikely Nabers would play if he didn’t think he could go close to 100%.
