UPDATE: Game is scheduled to start at 8:50 pm ET.

The start of Monday evening’s matchup between the Cincinnati Reds and Chicago Cubs has been delayed due to rain.

First pitch was initially scheduled for 7:40 p.m. ET at Wrigley Field and was moved up 30 minutes to 7:10 due to the possibility of a rain delay. However, inclement weather in the area will prevent the contest from starting on time, even with the earlier first pitch. The game will begin in a rain delay and a new start time has not yet been announced.

DraftKings Sportsbook lists the Cubs as -209 home favorites on the Moneyline tonight. The Reds are +171 underdogs with the run total set at a whopping 11.5.

Once things get underway, Chase Petty (19.50 ERA, 7 SO; 6.0 IP) will start for Cincinnati. For Chicago, it’ll be Edward Cabrera (3.06 ERA, 29 SO; 35.1 IP) on the mound.

The Reds are 20-14 after dropping three straight games. Meanwhile, the Cubs have overtaken them in the NL Central and are 22-12 at the top of the division standings.
