TPC Louisiana (par 72, 7,425 yards, POA Trivialis greens) is hosting the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. TPC Louisiana has been the home of the Zurich Classic since 2005. This event was a standard stroke play event until it became a team tournament in 2017. There will be 74 two-man teams competing and a top-33 and ties cut after the first two rounds. The first and third rounds will be best ball format, and the second and fourth rounds will be alternate shot. Ben Griffin and Andrew Novak (-28) won last year’s Zurich Classic by one stroke.

Ryan Gerard/Sudarshan Yellamaraju ($9,500)
Following David Ford’s withdrawal Monday, Yellamaraju will be teaming up with Gerard at the Zurich Classic. As a rookie, Yellamaraju has never competed at this event before, but Gerard finished T12th at last year’s Zurich Classic with Danny Walker as his partner. No offense to Walker, but Yellamaraju is a much more talented player and he and Gerard are one of the top duos in this field. Gerard has made 9-of-11 cuts and produced four top-25 finishes this season, including back-to-back runner-up finishes to open this campaign. The 26-year-old ranks 12th in SG APP and 10th in par five performance this season.
Meanwhile, Yellamaraju is a contender for rookie of the year. The Canadian has made 9-of-10 cuts with four top-25 finishes. Yellamaraju finished T5th at THE PLAYERS Championship at TPC Sawgrass last month, which like TPC Louisiana, was designed by Pete Dye. Like Gerard, Yellamaraju is a strong par five scorer, who ranks 18th in par four performance this season, which bodes well for this squad at TPC Louisiana. Before the Zurich Classic became a team event in 2017, four of the final five individual winners at TPC Louisiana ranked top-10 in par five performance during their victories.
Sam Stevens/Zach Bachou ($8,300)
Stevens has finished T4th and T24th at the last two Zurich Classics and now, he will join forces with Bachou, who is having a strong rookie season. The Oklahoma State product has made 8-of-10 cuts with four top-30 finishes, most recently with a T28 at the Valero Texas Open three weeks ago. Stevens is also having a great season, missing only one cut in 11 starts and carding four top-25 finishes, two of which have come in his last three starts.
Stevens has gained strokes on approach at three straight events and his expertise for TPC Louisiana should pay dividends this week, possibly resulting in his third straight top-25 finish at the Zurich Classic.
Chad Ramey/Justin Lower ($7,000)
Ramey has been awesome at the Zurich Classic, finishing T9, runner-up and T8th the last three years. Ramey teamed up with Lower for that T8 a year ago and the duo is running it back this week at TPC Louisiana. Lower has been inconsistent recently, missing four of his last six cuts, but Ramey has been reliable, missing only one cut in his last 11 starts.
Ramey has finished inside the top-30 four times during this run and he has been elite with his flat stick this season, ranking eighth in SGP. While Lower’s form is concerning, Ramey is playing much better than he was before last year’s Zurich Classic and another high finish isn’t out of the question for this duo.
