Welterweight contenders go head-to-head in the Great White North Saturday night, as former title challenger Gilbert Burns takes on Canada’s own Mike Malott in the main event of UFC Winnipeg.
Malott is a -270 moneyline favorite on DraftKings Sportsbook, while Burns sits as a +220 underdog.

Mike Malott More Than 40.5 Significant Strikes
With the hometown crowd behind him, Canadian welterweight Mike Malott (13–2–1) is looking to make a statement in his first UFC main event. The winner of three straight bouts, “Proper” enters as a heavy favorite over spiraling former title challenger Gilbert Burns (22–9), who’s currently mired in a four-fight skid.
Malott has cleared 40.5 significant strikes in three of his last four bouts, and he looks well-positioned to do it again over five rounds with Burns. The Brazilian striker, now 39, has consistently been outclassed on the feet during his losing streak. In total, he’s been outstruck 362 to 160 over his last four outings.
Charles Jourdain More Than 68.5 Fantasy Points
If Charles “Air” Jourdain (17–8–1) was searching for consistency inside the Octagon, he seems to have found it at 135 pounds. The longtime featherweight has looked completely rejuvenated since dropping to bantamweight: he submitted Victor Henry in the second round of his divisional debut before inducing a first-round tap-out from Davey Grant in October.
He comfortably cleared 68.5 fantasy points with each performance.
Jourdain, boasting an 88% career finish rate, will look to put on another show in front of his hometown crowd against the fading Kyler Phillips (12–4), who has lost two straight. With superior striking and sound defensive grappling, expect the Canadian to crush his fantasy-point threshold for the third-straight bout.
Mandel Nallo More Than 0.5 Knockouts
Vancouver’s own Mandel Nallo (14–3) makes his UFC debut, following a first-round knockout of Samuel Silva on Dana White’s Contender Series in September. The former Bellator contender, who trains with No. 6-ranked UFC bantamweight Aiemann Zahabi, arrives in the promotion on a five-fight winning streak — and with a 100% finish rate, including eight knockouts and 12 first-round stoppages.
The imaginative striker — known for highlight-reel finishes, from flying knees to superman punches — has been set up for a favorable introduction to the UFC. He’ll face striker Jai Herbert (13–6–1), a fellow combat sports veteran who’s been sidelined since his split-decision loss to Chris Padilla in March 2025. Half of Herbert’s career losses have come by knockout.
Jasmine Jasudavicius More Than 2.5 Takedowns
Don’t let Jasmine Jasudavicius’ (14–4) reputation as a “brawler” — or the fact that her last name ends in “viscious” — distract from the fact that she’s also a highly skilled grappler. The Canadian flyweight has averaged 2.59 takedowns per 15 minutes at 44% accuracy inside the Octagon, and she’s landed at least three takedowns in three of her last five bouts.
Expect her to go back to the well against Karine Silva (19–6). While a decorated Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialist, the Fighting Nerds product has shown little ability to consistently thwart incoming takedown attempts. She enters Saturday night with a paltry 21% stuff rate, having been taken down at least three times in three straight fights.
Marcio Barbosa More Than 0.5 Knockouts
Brazilian featherweight prospect Marcio Barbosa heads into his UFC debut with quite the resume: 17–2 with 16 stoppages, all of which came in the first round. The 27-year-old powerhouse boasts 14 career knockouts, most recently a starching of Damon Wilson on Dana White’s Contender Series in August.
Barbosa is the heaviest betting favorite on Saturday’s fight card, currently holding -455 odds to beat the embattled Dennis Buzukja (12–5) on DraftKings Sportsbook. Buzukja, 28, has been shelved since dropping a split-decision to Francis Marshall in August 2024 — his third loss in four fights, a brutal stretch that included a first-round knockout at the hands of Jamall Emmers.
Robert Valentin Less Than 30.5 Significant Strikes
The Octagon hasn’t been kind to Robert Valentin (11–6). The Swiss middleweight — who competed for Team Grasso on TUF 32 — is 0–3 in the UFC, having already suffered a pair of knockout losses. He has yet to land more than 30.5 significant strikes in the promotion, peaking at just 23 in his split-decision loss to Torrez Finney in April 2025.
A turnaround doesn’t seem likely against debuting Canadian Julien Leblanc (10–2), who arrives on the UFC’s doorstep riding a five-fight winning streak. Both fighters carry finish rates north of 80%, with several first-round stoppages between them, forecasting a strong chance of an early finish.
