Luis Severino Hits + Walks + Earned Runs allowed over 9.5 (-110) vs. Toronto Blue Jays

For 2026, DraftKings Sportsbook introduced a ton of new betting markets for this MLB season. One of those is one I envision myself playing a lot, Hits+Walks+Earned Runs allowed by a starting pitcher. We’ll use this for the first time tonight with Severino going against a loaded Toronto Blue Jays offense.

A few years ago, Severino was a big time strikeout pitcher, producing a K/9 above 12 in two straight seasons. Most recently in 2025, that K/9 has nearly been cut in half, as he produced just a 6.8 K/9 through 162.2 innings. So, that means hitters are making a ton of contact and putting the ball in play. That could work against some teams, but I wouldn’t say the Blue Jays are one of them. Not only do they have great numbers against righties. with a .339 wOBA and a .178 ISO, but they’re very patient with a combined 8.1 BB%. Severino can get wild at times and this lineup will lay off pitches if he does.

With some stellar numbers against the four-seam fastball, which Severino throws nearly 40% of the time, I think they do some damage early and push him past this combined total.

Detroit Tigers team total over 3.5 runs (-110) vs. San Diego Padres

I was shocked to learn that the Tigers projected lineup for tonight, destroys sinkers. Michael King primarily has four pitches he relies upon but his sinker is what he throws the most, doing so about 30% of the time in 2025. So when I ran the numbers for the Tigers against that pitch, I was floored to see they had a combined .404 wOBA and a .188 ISO against it. Every player expected in tonight’s lineup, with the exception of Parker Meadows, has at least a .350 wOBA against that pitch. Kerry Carpenter, who should be hitting leadoff, had a .732 wOBA and a .423 ISO through 32 plate appearances with that pitch. Insane.

So what about when King isn’t throwing his sinker? He’ll use a four-seam, a changeup and a sweeper. While nothing will compare to the sinker numbers, the Tigers have great numbers against the four seam, average against the change and as expected, poor numbers against the sweeper. However, the sinker and four-seam was thrown nearly 54% of the time by King, so I feel good about that. On paper, this looks like a tough spot for Detroit but those numbers really change the narrative for me. I’m taking them over 3.5 runs.

Christian Walker 2+ H/R/RBI (+112) vs. Los Angeles Angels

I believe this is a great spot for Walker, despite hitting in the lower half of the Astros lineup. He was hitting seventh as Spring Training came to a close and then did so yesterday for Opening Day. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s bumped up a spot or two against the lefty, which would make this a really solid bet, but regardless, I’m comfortable either way. Walker will face Yusei Kikuchi, who throws two primary pitches, a slider and a four-seam a combined 71% of the time. Walker had great numbers against both last year when coming from a lefty.

Kikuchi was exceptionally bad on the road last season, as opposing hitters tagged him for a .345 wOBA, 12 of the 24 home runs he allowed and a 4.48 FIP. Kikuchi didn’t throw much in the Spring and when he did pitch in the World Baseball Classic, allowed three runs on seven hits through just four innings of work. If that means he’s on a bit of a short leash tonight, that’ll give the Astros more opportunities against what was one of the worst bullpens in the league in 2025.
