Marvel Studios has changed course when it comes to its television shows, pivoting away from standalone miniseries and movie crossovers, moving towards longer-running versions of what worked in the past. As a result, we are getting a second season of Daredevil: Born Again, the continuation of the Netflix smash hit that ran from 2015 to 2018.

When does Daredevil: Born Again season 2 come out?
Season 2 will premiere on Disney+ at 9 p.m. ET on Tuesday, March 24. The second season will consist of eight episodes, compared to the nine-episode first season and the three 13-episode Netflix seasons.
Unlike season 1, Daredevil: Born Again season 2 will get underway with a one-episode premiere. Episodes 2 and 3 will come out next week, while the ensuing six episodes will drop weekly through the finale on May 5. Each episode is expected to have a runtime between 40 minutes and 1 hour.

Who will show up this season?
Daredevil: Born Again brought back some of the original Netflix cast while also infusing a bit of fresh blood. A few more familiar faces are expected to pop up this time around, plus one or two new characters played by big-name actors. Here is a look at who is confirmed to be in the cast for season 2:

What to expect in Daredevil: Born Again season 2
When Kingpin rose to the mayor’s office in season 1, he established an anti-vigilante task force made up largely of corrupt police officers. That group, posing as Punisher minions, took out the White Tiger. They eventually captured the Punisher and Swordsman when Kingpin declared martial law in New York, although the Punisher managed to break out. Kingpin also put out a hit on Matt, despite the fact that Matt took a bullet for him to save the mayor from Bullseye. After surviving the night of chaos, Matt agreed to organize his own army and fight back against Kingpin, who also happened to hire Matt’s therapist girlfriend Heather as part of his staff.
Daredevil and Fisk’s impending war has fans eagerly anticipating potential cameos from other heroes. Jessica Jones is confirmed to be coming over from the Netflix universe, while Luke Cage is also rumored to potentially be in the mix himself. Among other characters who could pop up are the Punisher, Iron First and Spider-Man, although Marvel Studios doesn’t own the full rights to the Web-Head in live-action.
We also know that Foggy is coming back in some form, despite the fact that Bullseye took him out — on Venessa’s orders — in the season 1 premiere. That is just one example of the creative team behind the show trying to emulate the Netflix series more than season 1 did, along with Karen returning in a much more prominent role.
