Judkins ($6,000) let fantasy owners down this past Sunday, scoring just 4.7 FPTS in the Browns’ 31-3 loss to the Bears. The rookie rushed 12 times for only 21 yards and he caught three of his four targets for -4 yards.
While the end result was disappointing, Judkins still saw great usage as Cleveland’s clear featured back, logging 66.7% of the snaps and taking all but one of the running back carries for the Browns. This type of usage has been the norm for Judkins, as he is logging 52.1% of the snaps and handling a 82.4% rush share this season, including 15 red-zone carries. Additionally, Judkins is running a route on 40% of his team’s dropbacks and garnering a target on 18% of his routes.
This is an immense workload. While Judkins was a letdown this past weekend, he still has scored 15+ FPTS in six of his 13 games this season and this Sunday vs. the Bills is a potential bounce-back spot. Buffalo’s glaring weakness on defense is it’s inability to stop the run, with the Bills giving up the most rushing touchdowns (22) and the second-most yards per rush this season (5.4). Cleveland is a 10-point underdog for this matchup on DraftKings Sportsbook, so the Browns are likely to be in a negative game script. This isn’t ideal for Judkins, but the Bills are so weak against the run that the back having a strong fantasy performance is still very possible.
Judkins is a -110 favorite to score a touchdown in this contest on DraftKings Sportsbook and he is a solid RB3/FLEX play for the fantasy football playoffs this weekend. For DFS, Judkins’ salary has dropped to $6,000 on DraftKings, which is the cheapest he has been in four games. This makes him an appealing GPP target, as he should come with low ownership due to receny bias.
