Week 14 in the NFL features a nice 11-game slate on Sunday afternoon, setting up another great slate of DFS fantasy football action. It’s a very important week for many teams trying to set up their playoff push, and there should be some great games on tap. As you try to take home the crown in your DFS contests, one critical area to do some holiday shopping is in the fantasy football sleeper market at wide receiver.
In this post, we’ll look at the 22 teams in action and pick up the top fantasy football sleeper plays at wide receiver who are set up to make a huge difference in your DFS fantasy football lineups, even though they still have a bargain DraftKings salary.
The options highlighted each week as football sleeper plays for DFS can also translate into sneaky plays in your season-long league since they are in line to exceed expectations and many are still on the waiver wire. Earlier this week, I highlighted my top-30 starters at wide receiver. In this list, we’ll mostly focus on players outside those 30 who still bring a high ceiling. Here’s who I am looking at this week and how last week’s picks fared:
Week 14 Fantasy Football Sleeper WR picks (full analysis below)
- Luther Burden III, Chicago Bears ($3,800)
- Devaughn Vele, New Orleans Saints ($3,700)
- Tez Johnson, Tampa Bay Buccaneers ($3,700)
- Jack Bech, Las Vegas Raiders ($3,000)
- Andre Baccellia, Arizona Cardinals ($3,000)
Week 12 Results:
- Jayden Higgins, Houston Texans ($3,900;11.5 FPTS)
- Tyler Lockett, Las Vegas Raiders ($3,800; 2.1 FPTS)
- David Sills V, Atlanta Falcons ($3,500; 9.5 FPTS)
- Devaughn Vele, New Orleans Saints ($3,500; 23.3 FPTS)
- Jalen Coker, Carolina Panthers ($3,400;17.4 FPTS)
After last week’s picks came through in a big way, we’ll look to keep things rolling in Week 14. Whether you’re looking for value plays in your DFS contests like the NFL $2.5M Fantasy Football Millionaire [$1M to 1st] or a last-minute addition from the waiver wire in season-long formats, here are my top-five fantasy football sleeper wide receivers for Week 14 of the 2025 season:
Luther Burden III, Chicago Bears ($3,800)
The Bears won’t have Rome Odunze (foot) for this matchup against the Packers on Sunday afternoon, leaving Burden as the team’s second receiver behind DJ Moore ($4,800). Burden has been in my fantasy football sleeper picks before, and he should be in for even more work this week.
I covered Burden in a standalone sleeper post earlier this week, and he is a great play at this price for Sunday’s matchup.
The rookie was already in a growing role since returning from a concussion, and he caught at least three passes in four straight games with 13 catches for a total of 157 yards. Last week against the Eagles, he set a season-high with six targets and matched his season-high with four catches as well.
Burden has been getting solid targets and has flashed big play potential:
If you’re looking for a fantasy football sleeper on the verge of a breakout week from under $4,000, Burden is the best play of the week. He would have been a strong option even if Odunze played, but without Odunze taking targets, Burden should flourish this week even in a tough matchup against the Packers
Devaughn Vele, New Orleans Saints ($3,700)
Vele is in my picks for a third straight week, since he remains remarkably affordable despite some solid production. He remains in a prime breakout position over the next few weeks since he’ll be operating in a key role in the Saints’ passing game.
The Saints added Vele from the Broncos just before the season began. With the Rashid Shaheed trade and the Brandin Cooks release, he’s now behind only Chris Olave ($6,500; back, questionable) on the depth chart. If Olave is out or limited, Vele would be even an even better play, but he’s proving that he can also be a fantasy football sleeper even with Olave on the field.
After the bye week, Vele caught three of seven targets for 37 yards against the Falcons, and last week he hauled in all eight of his targets for 93 yards and a touchdown.
He clearly has a strong connection with rookie QB Tyler Shough, and he should continue to get enough volume to be a strong fantasy football sleeper who has the upside to continue his breakout in a favorable matchup this week against the Bucs.
Tez Johnson, Tampa Bay Buccaneers ($3,700)
On the other side of that matchup, Johnson could be set up for one more big week before the receiver room gets healthy enough to crowd him out. Mike Evans (collarbone) and Jalen McMillan (neck) both returned to practice this week after spending time on IR, but neither will play against the Saints.
Instead, the Bucs will have rookie Emeka Egbuka ($6,300) and veteran Chris Godwin Jr. ($5,300) available to go with Johnson on the depth chart. Johnson is a boom-or-bust play since he has so much big play potential, as he showed earlier this season with five touchdowns in his last seven games.
Last week, he only had one catch for five yards, but he still has 20 targets in his last five games and brings a very volatile ceiling. He remains a boom-or-bust play for one more week before reinforcements return and restore the Bucs depth at the position.
Jack Bech, Las Vegas Raiders ($3,000)
The last two picks in my fantasy football sleeper plays at receiver this week both come at the minimum salary and come from teams that have no depth at their wide receiver position.
The Raiders traded Jakobi Meyers at the trade deadline after Amari Cooper surprisingly retired in the preseason. With rookie Dont’e Thornton (concussion) and Alex Bachman (thumb) also ruled out, it could finally be time for Bech to be involved enough to make a difference.
The Raiders drafted Bech in the second round out of TCU, but the rookie has only managed 10 catches for 114 yards in his 12 games this year. He played 56% of snaps last week and caught two of his three targets for 22 yards. Since the Raiders only have three healthy wide receivers heading into Sunday’s divisional matchup against the Broncos, Bech should be lined up for his biggest workload of the season. The Raiders’ passing game hasn’t been very productive lately, but if Bech is more involved, he should have a chance to return value since he won’t have to do much to produce great returns at this minimum salary.
Andre Baccellia, Arizona Cardinals ($3,000)
A very similar situation is playing out in Arizona, although the position is possibly even thinner this week. Greg Dortch (chest) and Marvin Harrison Jr. (heel) were ruled out already and Xavier Weaver (hamstring) didn’t practice at all on Friday after injuring his hamstring on Thursday.
That leaves Michel Wilson ($5,600) as an outstanding starting option that I covered earlier in the week, but not much else behind him on the Cardinals depth chart. Andre Baccellia is the only other receiver on the active roster, and he was just added on Nov. 12.
The Cardinals have been airing it out lately, and in the two weeks without Harrison, Dortch racked up 12 catches for 119 yards and two touchdowns across from Wilson. Baccellia has made some plays in preseason the last few years and hung around the edges of the Cardinals’ roster. He had a big 43-yard kickoff return last week and has shown a little elusiveness and ability to make big plays. He’s a flier play this week, to be sure, but he should get enough playing time to make a difference for the depleted Cardinals against the Rams.
