A modest five-game featured NBA slate is on tap for Tuesday. With only 12 teams taking the floor, building a fantasy basketball lineup can be difficult. However, there’s still enough difference-makers available to roster this evening.
Which names offer the most value for managers tonight? Here are two targets worth consideration in DFS and season-long fantasy basketball formats.

PF Collin Murray-Boyles, Toronto Raptors at BKN ($4,600)
The Raptors are a difficult group to get a read on. Despite their middling 5-5 record, this team isn’t lacking in talent. If there’s one major weakness in Toronto, it’s a lack of front court depth. Outside of center Jakob Poeltl ($5,600), size is somewhat lacking down low. That makes Collin Murray-Boyles an important piece for this roster. The first-round pick is averaging 8.8 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game. On defense, he’s chipped in with 0.9 steals and 0.6 blocks.
On paper, that’s nothing to write home about. However, the rookie has received sporadic playing time. When logging 20+ minutes, Murray-Boyles has posted 11.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.3 steals. There’s a good chance the South Carolina alum gets a similar workload tonight vs. the putrid Nets. In addition, Brooklyn has allowed the third-most fantasy points to power forwards. Against a rebuilding squad, CMB is poised to play over half of Tuesday’s contest.
PG/SG Cam Spencer, Memphis Grizzlies at NYK ($3,900)
Memphis loves nothing more than playing fast; the squad ranks _ in pace across the NBA. That lightning speed often hurts the Grizzlies on defense, but it makes for plenty of fantasy production. Ja Morant ($8,300) and Jaren Jackson Jr. ($7,500) will command most of the team’s touches. Still, there’s room for several others on the roster to contribute. Tonight’s matchup with the Knicks has shootout potential, as well. Opposing teams are shooting 39.4% from three-point range vs. New York, the third-worst mark in basketball.
The Grizzlies have knocked down threes at a league-average rate, due in part to Morant’s shooting struggles. One player that could give the team a boost in that category is Cam Spencer. The UConn alum is averaging 9.4 points per game on 44/46/91 shooting splits. He’s also added 2.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 0.7 steals. The 25-year-old has notched 12+ points in three of his previous four appearances. During that time, he’s sunk 12 total three-pointers. If Memphis is going to exploit New York’s biggest weakness, it’ll need Spencer at his best.
