The Cardinals take on the Cowboys on MNF in Dallas. I actually lean to the Cardinals in this one, but did put out a play on the total — which you can find right here on DraftKings Network.
Part of the reason that I think Arizona has a good chance in this game is the quarterback play of Jacoby Brissett. Frankly, it’s an upgrade over Kyler Murray at the moment. Sure, Brissett is 0-2 in his two starts prior to the bye, but they were down-to-the-wire losses to the Colts and Packers, which we consider to be two of the best teams in the NFL.
In those losses, Brissett averaged 300 yards and two passing touchdowns. The Cowboys have been shredded through the air this season, including giving up over 317 passing yards per game in home games. Zay Jones has a receiving yardage prop set at 21.5 entering MNF, but that number is based off what he’s produced this season — which has been completely defined by who is playing quarterback.
In four games with Murray under center, Jones has totaled five receptions on seven targets for 37 yards. In the previous two games with Brissett at quarterback, Jones has totaled seven receptions on 10 targets for 146 yards. Now facing one of the worst pass defenses in the league, I trust Brissett to continue to target Jones. Just a couple of catches should be plenty to go over his modest yardage prop.
