The Mariners rallied from an early 1-0 deficit to take Game 1 of the ALCS in Toronto and will look to head home with a commanding 2-0 lead as they face the Blue Jays again as part of a two-game championship series slate. The schedule is as follows:

MLB Odds & Storylines
In the first game of the day at 5:03 p.m. ET, the Mariners have a chance to escape Toronto with a 2-0 lead in the ALCS. The Blue Jays are a -132 favorite on the Moneyline on DraftKings Sportsbook, with the run total set at 7.5.
Logan Gilbert takes the ball for the Mariners, having pitched to a 1.13 ERA this postseason in 8 innings pitched, including two scoreless in Friday’s 15-inning affair against Detroit. It should be noted that Blue Jays bats are 29-for-94 (.309) lifetime vs. Gilbert with 4 HR. One of the players to take Gilbert deep is Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Vladdy has recorded at least one RBI in five of the Blue Jays’ last six games. On the Toronto side, rookie Trey Yesavage will face the Mariners for the first time. With that in mind, in his Best Prop Bets article, Griffin Wong highlights Guerrero Jr. and Cal Raleigh 4+ Combined Total Bases (-114). Griffin says betting on both teams’ best players is never a bad idea, and the two starters play into the hitting stars’ strengths. He notes that Yesavage has thrown either a four-seamer or a splitter with 84% of his pitches to lefties and the Big Dumper has hit 15 homers against four-seam fastballs, while Gilbert throws primarily four-seamers and sliders, which Guerrero has posted an expected batting average north of .300 and an expected slugging percentage north of .500 against.
In the second game of the evening at 8:08 p.m. ET, Blake Snell will take the ball for the Dodgers, while the Brewers have not announced a starter. The Dodgers are -157 moneyline favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook with the run total set at 7.5.
Snell has a good history of success against Milwaukee, with Brewer bats just 5-for-33 (.152) lifetime against Snell with 0 HR. Snell has also had a strong postseason, winning each of his starts across the last two rounds while sporting a 1.38 ERA and 18 Ks over 13 innings pitched. However, DraftKings Sportsbook notes that there could be a few warning signs early:
- The ‘Inning 1 OVER 0.5 runs’ market has hit in each of the Brewers’ last five games. (Total Runs – Inning 1 – Yes-Run First Inning 0.5 — +110)
- The Brewers have led after 3 innings in each of their last nine Monday games against National League opponents that held a winning record. (Lead after 3 innings — Brewers +124)
- The Dodgers have lost the first inning in three of their last four road games against NL Central opponents. (1st Inning {3 way} — Brewers +400)
If you believe in the Dodgers, consider that Mookie Betts has hit a home run in each of his three previous road appearances against the Brewers after not playing the previous day (Mookie Betts to Hit a Home Run — +527) and Shohei Ohtani has recorded at least one RBI in four of the Dodgers’ last five games against the Brewers (Alt RBI – Shohei Ohtani 1+ — +116). Both of those stats play into the fact that six of the Dodgers’ last seven night playoff games have gone OVER the total runs (Total Runs Over 7.5 — -118).
