MLB Best Bets: Top Home Run Props for Sunday 10/5/25

The two American League MLB Division Series continue on Sunday, with a great doubleheader that begins at 4:08 p.m. ET. The Yankees and Blue Jays gets things underway in Toronto before the Tigers and Mariners close out the day in Seattle. One way to add even more excitement to the action is by playing some juicy home run props on DraftKings Sportsbook. After taking a look at the matchups, game environments, odds and current form of the players available, my favorite home run props for Sunday are from George Springer and Riley Greene.

Just like during the regular season, here’s a quick reminder before we step to the plate and point to the flagpole to call our shot — all home run props are long-shot bets. Even the top home run hitters are more likely not to hit a home run in any single game, especially against playoff-level pitching. Home run props are never “safe” picks, but a few key indicators can point us in the right direction. Just remember that home run props are always volatile plays.

As a result, home run props can be a fun part of your betting strategy, but they shouldn’t be heavily relied on since they’re uncertain. What makes home run props exciting is that the longer odds yield big returns when they do hit. I typically play home run props individually and in round robins at a small unit size, boosting the ceiling even higher if multiple home run props go green on a given night.

Breaking down the numbers and matchups, here is why I like these two home run props on Sunday’s playoff slate.

Best Home Run Props on DraftKings Sportsbook

George Springer to record 1+ home runs (+542)

Springer went 0-for-4 with a walk and a run scored in Game 1 after hitting .393 over his last 15 games of the regular season. He hit four of his 32 homers this year in those 15 games, including this monster shot earlier this month.

Springer is in a tough matchup against Max Fried, so the odds on his home run props are long this Sunday. However, he has gone 5-for-15 with a home run against Fried in the past.

Springer hit .323 with 18 of his 32 homers and a .432 wOBA at home, and he also hit four of his regular-season homers against the Yankees.

Throughout his career, the 36-year-old righty has been a proven playoff performer, with 19 career homers in 68 postseason games. The Blue Jays dominated Game 1, and George will look to add a Springer Dinger to the ledger on Sunday.

Riley Greene to record 1+ home runs (+405)

I highlighted Greene in my top MLB DFS picks for the day, and I also like his home run props as a nice value play in the nightcap.

Greene hit 36 homers in the regular season with a .258 batting average and .343 wOBA.

He hit 32 of those 36 homers against righties and 21 of those 36 homers on the road. He had a .295 batting average and a .407 wOBA against righties on the road.

He’ll take on righty Luis Castillo in Game 2. Castillo did a good job holding righties to a .212 average this season, but he allowed lefties like Greene to hit .278 with 12 homers and a .352 wOBA.

Greene is 6-for-16 in his four playoff games this year, and he’ll look to stay hot on Sunday with a good shot to deliver a big game in the late contest.

Even though he grew up almost 8,000 miles away in Guam, he is a diehard Boston sports fan but will take a fantasy value play wherever he can get it, even if it’s from the Yankees.
