Quarterback
Start ‘Em: Jordan Love (Packers) at Cowboys
Last week, I told you to sit Jordan Love, declaring him a virtually unstartable fantasy asset due to Green Bay’s offensive system. That statement still (mostly) rings true, and my recommendation was the right one, as Love only scored 12.1 points.
All of that said, an exception can be made for the Cowboys. Yes, they are THAT bad.
Dallas is allowing a ridiculous 288 passing yards per game, over 20 more than the next-highest team in the league. They are also (shocker) surrendering the most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. Even with the Packers’ offense struggling to really find its rhythm, Love should be started with confidence as a low-end QB1. If the Packers can’t figure it out against the Cowboys, they won’t figure it out against anyone.

Running Back
Sit ‘Em: David Montgomery (Lions) vs. Browns
Am I really telling you to sit a guy who is coming off a 29.4-point performance?
Yes. I am. You don’t want to mess around with the Browns’ run defense this season.
In a somewhat strange turn of events, Cleveland has been absolutely dominant against opposing rushing attacks through three weeks. The Browns are allowing a league-low 57.3 rushing yards per game and the second-fewest fantasy points to RBs. This feels like a game script that will feature a lot of Jahmyr Gibbs taking carries to the outside and racking up receptions out of the backfield. Montgomery, on the other hand, will be left to deal with a stout defensive line on fringe double-digit inside handoffs. Unless the veteran finds the end zone, we’re likely looking at a fantasy dud.

Wide Receiver
Start ‘Em: Ricky Pearsall (49ers) vs. Jaguars
With Jauan Jennings and George Kittle out for the Niners last Sunday, we finally got a chance to see what the Ricky Pearsall WR1 show would look like. The results were fantastic.
The second-year wideout was Mac Jones’ go-to guy, catching eight of 11 targets for 117 yards. Pearsall still hasn’t found the end zone this season, but the Florida product has proven more than capable of handling a massive target share.
With San Francisco’s offense still banged up, that should remain the case against a subpar Jaguars secondary. Jacksonville is a bottom-10 defense in fantasy points allowed to receivers, setting the stage for Pearsall’s hot streak to continue.

Tight End
Sit ‘Em: Harold Fannin Jr. (Browns) at Lions
After a fantastic NFL debut in which he racked up seven receptions for 63 yards, Fannin has come back down to earth. The rookie recorded just a combined eight catches for 73 yards over the next two outings, seeing his target and snap share dip.
David Njoku hasn’t established himself as the Joe Flacco target machine we saw a couple of years ago, but the veteran is still firmly locked in as Cleveland’s TE1. Fannin could still have matchup-dependent value, but that won’t be the case against a Lions defense that typically stymies opposing tight ends. There are better options on waivers in Week 4.
