It’s time for fantasy football waiver wires to heat up. In a weird start to the season for a lot of wide receivers, it’s essential to keep an eye on which waiver wire players can have a productive year. Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Dyami Brown has looked strong so far and is worthy of your attention. Allow me to sell you on adding Brown in your fantasy football league.

Year-to-Date Analysis

Brown joined the Jaguars this season after four serviceable but unspectacular years in Washington. After drafting Travis Hunter to pair with Brian Thomas Jr., Brown was a depth option who could get snaps in three-wide sets. Yet, after two games, it is Brown who leads the team in yards.

It’s not just a big play or two that has sustained Brown’s value. He is third on the team in targets and second in receptions. As a bonus, Brown has garnered three rush attempts for 15 yards. In both games, Brown has been second among all Jacksonville receivers in total snaps, only trailing Thomas. It’s becoming clear that Brown is a fixture in this offense going forward. But, how much upside does this carry?

It’s important to remember the nature of this Jaguars team. They’re coming off a year where they were one of the worst teams in the NFL, and I don’t expect them to improve much. The game script will favor Brown’s usage more often than not. And as an outside receiver, he’ll be running the higher-upside routes when Trevor Lawrence is looking to throw them back into the game.

The Verdict

Brown is a worthy add in all formats. It’s clear he has a week-to-week usage floor, and the upside for big weeks. He’s rising into flex conversations in all formats, especially in matchups where the Jaguars are facing negative game script.

If Brown is still sitting out there, make sure you scoop him up.
