Best Ladd McConkey prop bet for Raiders vs. Chargers NFL Week 2 on Monday 9/15/25

We get one of the beloved early-season MNF double-headers tonight, and the latter game is slated to be a heated divisional battle between two offenses that are feeling themselves. We’ve got a ton of MNF coverage already here at DKN (see some links to mine below), but I’m interested in hitting the prop bets for the big players: Ladd McConkey, Ashton Jeanty, Brock Bowers, etc.

To wit—below, check out one of my favorite Ladd McConkey props to consider from this late-night tilt.

Best Ladd McConkey prop bet for Raiders vs. Chargers

Ladd McConkey 7+ receptions (+110)

Plus-money for a role that screams volume. Justin Herbert has logged 23+ completions in four straight regular-season games and just spread the ball to eight different targets in Week 1, stacking 25 completions on 73.5% accuracy and 9.4 YPA. Indoors, that on-schedule rhythm usually sticks, and Las Vegas just permitted 30 completions on 46 attempts (65.2%) while still posting nine QB hits and four sacks—a pressure profile that tends to tilt offenses toward quick-game answers.

McConkey opened with six for 74 and has cleared 58+ receiving yards in 100.0% of his last nine, a consistent usage signal that pairs with his short-to-intermediate route density. Los Angeles produced 22 first downs in the opener, with Keenan Allen converting six of his seven grabs into chain-movers or scores; that kind of money-down gravity routinely frees McConkey on crossers and options under single coverage.

If the game tilts to a 58–62% neutral pass rate under the dome, a reasonable 36–40 attempts at a 68–72% completion clip lands Herbert in the 25–28 completion band. Allocate McConkey a 22–26% target share and a 70–74% catch rate and you’re projecting 8–10 targets converting into roughly 6.0–7.4 receptions before any two-minute padding.

With the total at 46.5 and the Chargers likely to keep passing at least half the time even if they’re ahead, 7+ at +130 is a value play. +130 means you only need about a 43% hit rate to break even; my numbers have it hitting 50–54%, with the most likely outcome right around seven catches.

Author’s note(!)—

In my game props article, I highlighted Ladd’s yardage prop, as well. You can check out the other props I like from this game there (at this link), and can check out my preview, prediction, and pick for the game here.
