Quarterback
Stud
John Mateer, Oklahoma at Temple, $9,400
John Mateer is the current favorite to win the Heisman Trophy at DraftKings Sportsbook. He has had a great start to his Oklahoma career and should be able to put up massive numbers against Temple. In a hyper-competitive SEC, where Oklahoma hopes they can survive and steal a College Football Playoff spot, scores matter. If the race for the final playoff spots is competitive as it was last season, “they beat Temple by 50,” or “they struggled against Temple” could be an actual factor in them making the CFP. Mateer has three rushing touchdowns through two games and should continue to use his legs effectively. Mateer has 662 passing yards and 98 rushing yards through two games, and against an inferior Temple team, he should put up big numbers.
Value
Ryan Browne, Purdue vs. USC, $5,100
Ryan Browne has played great for Purdue so far this season. He has five total touchdowns through two games and is showing competency that Purdue hasn’t had at quarterback in several years. This will be a much tougher test against USC, but Purdue will also need to throw the ball in this game. USC has been explosive offensively so far this season, and they will likely put up points on Purdue. If the Boilermakers want to keep this game competitive, they will need to trust Browne to throw the ball downfield. Purdue has gone up big in their two non-conference games so far this season, leading to them going run-heavy late in games. They will pass to try to keep up with USC in this game, meaning Browne should have big numbers.
Running Back
Stud
Justice Haynes, Michigan vs. Central Michigan, $7,400
Justice Haynes has been a monster for Michigan so far this season. With a true freshman starting at quarterback, Michigan has leaned heavily on their running game so far this season. Against inferior competition in Week 1, Haynes had 159 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Then, against a very good Oklahoma team, Haynes still had 125 yards and a score. Haynes should have a huge game against Central Michigan as Michigan looks to get back on track. The Chippewas gave up 45 points to Pittsburgh last week and should struggle to stop the Wolverines’ dangerous ground game.
Value
Noah Whittington, Oregon at Northwestern, $5,600
Oregon has been one of the most explosive offenses in football so far this season. They have demolished both of their opponents through two weeks, and they are looking to keep that going as they begin Big Ten play. Even though Northwestern is projected to be towards the bottom of the Big Ten, in a conference road game with a young quarterback, Oregon might be a bit more conservative with their play calling. They should lean on the ground game early, then allow Dante Moore to air it out once Oregon has established themselves at the line of scrimmage. Noah Whittington leads Oregon in carries and rushing yards through two games. They have been able to use a lot of different players in the blowouts they have been playing, but Whittington is expected to be the lead back this season. He has 159 rushing yards and two touchdowns through two games and should see plenty of action against Northwestern.
Wide Receiver
Stud
Deion Burks, Oklahoma at Temple, $7,500
Deion Burks is having the season many in Norman hoped he would. Burks was expected to be a star last season, but he dealt with injury issues. So far in 2025, Burks is showing why he was so highly regarded in the transfer portal prior to last season. He has had seven catches in each of Oklahoma’s games so far, combining for 189 yards and two touchdowns. He was an explosive weapon for John Mateer against a good Michigan defense last week, and he should have an even better performance against Temple. Burks is the clear favorite target of Mateer this season, and against a subpar defense, the two should connect at will.

Zachariah Branch, Georgia at Tennessee, $5,200
Zachariah Branch is one of the most dynamic players in college football. He ran electric gadget plays when at USC, but Georgia has yet to use him in that fashion. That can likely be attributed to the fact that Georgia has played nobody so far. Kirby Smart is not a coach to run up the score against inferior opponents. Georgia should have a lot of tricks up their sleeve for their first big game of the season against Tennessee, and Branch should be a huge part of those tricks. Branch had 95 yards and a touchdown in the season opener, despite their conservative approach. In this game, where Georgia will be looking to get the ball in the hands of their playmakers as much as possible, Branch should have a big performance.
Flex/Superflex
You can use any of the other names I listed in the above categories for the flex or superflex positions. However, here are a few more names, just in case.
Stud
Jayden Maiava, QB, USC at Purdue, $8,900
Jayden Maiava has been one of the best quarterbacks in college football so far this season. Maiava was given a chance to start towards the end of last season, and Lincoln Riley liked what he saw enough to let Miller Moss transfer to Louisville. Maiava has proven that it was the right decision so far this season, ranking third in the nation in passing yards per game. Jayden Maiava has six passing touchdowns and zero interceptions through two games, with a rushing touchdown to his name as well. This is USC’s first conference matchup of the season, and they will want to set a positive tone for Big Ten play. Maiava should be able to hit explosive plays downfield against a Purdue defense that is devoid of top-tier talent.
Value
Nate Frazier, RB, Georgia at Tennessee, $6,300
Nate Frazier is the go-to running back for Georgia this season. Quarterback Gunner Stockton has yet to prove he can be a high-level passer, meaning Georgia will continue to rely on their running game, especially in a hostile road environment like Knoxville. Georgia has played two blowouts against bad teams so far, which means Frazier has been able to share the load with other backs. However, in this game, Frazier should take a large majority of the carries. He has found the end zone in both games so far this season, and he should continue to get the ball when Georgia gets into the red zone. Georgia should win this game if Stockton avoids any major mistakes, meaning Frazier could be in for a big workload.
