Going into the last week of the WNBA regular season, the Minnesota Lynx get to coast. They’ve secured the top seed in the playoffs and can manage their health while staying prepared for a championship push. And while the Indiana Fever have clinched their playoff spot, they’re in a dogfight for seeding that will go down to the last day.
The Lynx are 2.5-point favorites on the road and hold -130 odds on the moneyline at DraftKings Sportsbook. The total is set at 162.5 points. Letโs take a look at the best bets and predictions for this Lynx-Fever matchup.
Lynx at Fever prediction, pick
Even though the Minnesota Lynx have clinched their top seed, they aren’t taking their foot off the gas. In their last game, a win over the playoff-bound Valkyries, coach Cheryl Reeve used only seven rotation players, with six of those players playing 26 minutes or more. But they’re taking the chance to rest superstar Napheesa Collier on Tuesday, which significantly changes the outlook of this game.
The Fever wish they had the luxury of resting. Injuries have taken their toll all season long, with several key rotation pieces missing. Chief amongst them is superstar guard Caitlin Clark, who will finish the year having played in only 13 of 44 total games. It’ll have to be another night of Kelsey Mitchell carrying the offense, which has not been a problem this year. Mitchell is looking to put an emphatic bow on one of the best scoring seasons of all time.
Without Collier, the Lynx will have their work cut out for them trying to stop her relentless attack. But Minnesota has acquitted itself well without Collier this year, and Tuesday’s game should be no different. Count on the title favorites to keep rolling.
