September 2025 Sneaker Release Schedule: Salehe Bembury New Balance 1000 highlights releases from Nike, Jordan Brand, New Balance

By: Andy Silva

September is here, and that means two things: football is officially back and so are the sneaker drops. Just like calling the right play on Sunday, timing is everything if you’re trying to score the month’s hottest kicks. The temperatures are cooling, kids are back in school, and brands are heating things up with fresh colorways and big-name collabs.

From Salehe Bembury’s latest New Balance masterpiece to a new Kobe Protro and even Angel Reese’s first signature sneaker with Reebok, September is stacked with releases that will have sneakerheads — and sports fans — watching the calendar like it’s gameday.

Here’s your playbook for the top sneakers dropping this month.

Top Sneaker Drop of September 2025: Salehe Bembury x New Balance 1000 ‘Fog Be the Cloud’

Salehe Bembury x New Balance 1000 ‘Fog Be the Cloud'

Release Date: September 5 ($160)

New Balance has been on a heater of late, and one of the reasons behind that success has been its collaborations with Salehe Bembury. His collabs tend to be on the more colorful side, and the “Fog be the cloud” is no different. His “nature-inspired” take on the 1000 is described by New Balance like this:

With ‘Fog be the cloud,’ the turn-of-the-millennium classic is infused with rich textures and colors drawn from the Smoky Mountains. Mirroring the lush landscape’s diversity, Bembury combines leather overlays with hairy suede tips, spacer mesh vamps, and rubber outsoles. The shoe’s calming blue comes from the mountain range’s iconic ridges, and is fused with the sunset’s coral pink, and the deep tones of the forest below. The resulting design is as distinctive as the tranquil terrain it reflects.

Salehe’s take on the Made in the UK 991v2, Colors Be The Palette, earlier this year, although pricey, is definitely on my early Top Sneakers of the Year list, thanks to its bright, bold colors and next-level material build. I would say I probably like the 991v2 silhouette more and it’s probably more popular, but that’s not to take any shine away from these 1000s. Salehe always brings the heat, and the “Fog be the cloud” should be no different.
