WNBA Best Bets: Top Kelsey Plum props for Sparks vs. Wings on 8/20/25

A couple of No. 1 picks go toe-to-toe tonight in the WNBA’s late slate as Kelsey Plum and the Los Angeles Sparks host Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings. With L.A. still fighting for one of the final playoff spots, a win tonight feels essential for the home team if they want to keep their thin postseason hopes alive.

Here’s the best Kelsey Plum prop bet on DraftKings Sportsbook for Sparks vs. Wings on Wednesday night.

Best Kelsey Plum prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook

Plum, a four-time WNBA All-Star, sits fourth among all players with 20.4 points per game this season. After struggling with her efficiency through most of the campaign, she’s seen her field-goal percentage tick up slightly to 43.2% in recent weeks and is knocking down 37.2% of her three-point attempts, the fourth-best average of her eight-year career. Plum’s 6.2 free-throw attempts per contest are a career-high, so even though some of the shots from the interior aren’t falling, she’s getting to the line at one of the league’s highest rates to supplement that scoring production.

As written in this companion piece with the top Paige Bueckers prop bets for tonight, this Sparks vs. Wings game looks like a prime spot for offense. These teams both rank top-four in pace, so they tend to push the tempo and get up plenty of shot attempts. That helps the outlook for scoring, but the fact the Wings deploy the second-worst defense in the WNBA (followed only by the Sparks themselves) adds more appeal to points prop bets. The total on DraftKings Sportsbook sits at 182.5 points, so this matchup between poor defenses feels ripe for some big outings on the stat sheet.

As an added bonus, Dallas’ defense actually allows opponents to shoot 38.2% on three-point attempts, which ranks dead-last in the league. While Plum posted just 11 points on 4-of-9 shooting in her first matchup against the Wings this season, she bounced back last Friday with 28 points on 9-of-17 attempts from the field and 3-of-5 from three-point range. The Sparks won both of those meetings with 93 and 97 points in each, and Plum should lead the way in tonight’s effort as usual.

While 20+ points for Plum offers decent odds at -120, I’m targeting 25+ points instead at +235 for a larger payout.

Best bet: Kelsey Plum 25+ points (+235)
