It’s a nice mix of some homer-friendly spots and some fun starting pitchers taking the mound. Each pitcher has a wide variety of different starting pitcher prop bets to consider on DraftKings Sportsbook. Best Starting Pitcher Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook
Ryan Pepiot over 5.5 strikeouts (+110)
The Rays will give the ball to Pepiot for the third game of their series in San Francisco. The Giants have dropped seven straight and scored one or zero runs in five of those losses. Pepiot will hope to continue their struggles with a bounce-back outing since he has also been struggling over the last few weeks.
On the season, the 27-year-old righty is 8-9 with a 3.86 ERA and 4.69 FIP. Pepiot has given up 14 runs in 16 innings over his last three outings but has actually picked up wins in high-scoring games in his last two starts.
This year, he has 138 strikeouts in 142 1/3 innings, averaging 5.5 strikeouts per game. Despite his inconsistent overall results, he has gone over this strikeout line in nine of his last 13 games, including three of his last five.
The Giants should be a great matchup for him to get at least six strikeouts. For the season, they rank in the top 10 this season in K%, and over the last week, they have the highest K% in the majors, averaging 11.2 strikeouts per game.
Pepiot’s strikeout line is my top option in the starting pitcher prop bets from Sunday’s late afternoon matchups.
Tyler Glasnow over 17.5 outs recorded (-130)
With the Giants dropping way out of the race, the NL West is a two-horse race between the Dodgers and Padres. The Friars had a one-game lead coming into their three-game weekend set, but the Dodgers won the first two games of the series and now have a one-game lead of their own coming into Sunday’s series finale.
Glasnow will make the start, and I think he’ll be able to get through at least six innings to go over this outs recorded prop against San Diego.
The 31-year-old righty has made 11 starts this year for the Dodgers, returning in early July after landing on the 60-day injured list with a shoulder issue. He pitched five innings in his first start back, but he has made it at least six innings in three of his five starts since then.
He faced the Blue Jays in his last outing, and he made it through 5 2/3 innings, coming up just short of this outs recorded line. He should be able to work a little deeper in this matchup against the Padres, who have scored just two runs in this series in Los Angeles.
Blake Snell went six shutout innings on Saturday, and Glasnow will look to match that with a strong outing of his own on Sunday afternoon.
George Kirby to record a win (+130)
Kirby and the Mariners take on the Mets in the Sunday Night Baseball matchup in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, in the MLB Little League Classic. The veteran righty got off to a slow start to the year after missing the start of the year with a shoulder injury. He’s been finding his groove lately, though, and I think he and the Mariners will get the victory on Sunday night.
Kirby has a 3.71 ERA on the year but has gone 7-1 with a 2.42 ERA and 54 strikeouts over 48 1/3 innings in his past eight starts. Kirby has allowed two runs or fewer in four straight and six of those eight games.
His opponent, Clay Holmes, started the season strong, but has struggled to a 1-2 record with a 5.45 ERA in his past eight outings. The Mariners should be able to get to Holmes for a few runs and put Kirby in a good spot to get the win.
Even with the win on Saturday, the Mets are just 3-14 in their last 17 games. They’ve slid to five games behind the Phillies in the East, while Kirby and the Mariners start the day 1 1/2 games back of the Astros in the AL West. Given how strongly he has trended in the right direction lately, Kirby should be in a good spot to get a win on Sunday, and I like playing this at plus-money in my starting pitcher prop bets this Sunday night.
