Did you know we only have seven Monday MLB DFS slates left in the regular season? That’s wild, right?
Time flies, but saving salary never goes out of style. Here are my top picks for tonight’s 10-game featured contests on DraftKings, including some values to consider on the mound and in the field.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Los Angeles Dodgers at Los Angeles Angels, $9,900 – Yamamoto is the third-most expensive “big name” arm on Monday’s slate, which feels like a blessing. Honestly, any time you can get the RHP into a lineup for less than $10,000 is amazing, regardless of the context. Among qualified starters, Yamamoto’s 2.51 ERA ranks sixth in MLB, while his 2.70 xERA sits fourth behind just Zack Wheeler, Paul Skenes and Tarik Skubal. His 28.5% strikeout rate isn’t too shabby, either. Strikeout upside should be the theme of Yamamoto’s outing in Anaheim, as the Angels continue to go down on strikes at a mind-numbing clip. Specific to the past two weeks, Los Angeles’ 28.3% strikeout rate is the highest mark in MLB. There’s just so much whiff in the team’s lineup, which is perfect for DFS.
Value
Zebby Matthews, Minnesota Twins at New York Yankees, $7,300 – This is a spot with some risk, but Matthews’ strikeout ability also provides quite a bit of ceiling, especially for an asset priced this close to $7,000. While Matthews does possess a 5.17 ERA across his eight starts in 2025, that’s mostly a product of poor luck. Matthews’ 2.74 FIP is far more indicative of how he’s thrown with the Twins, and that figure is backed up by a sterling 28.9% strikeout rate and 4.80 K/BB ratio. It’s also not like the Yankees have been tearing the cover off the baseball lately. Yes, Aaron Judge ($6,400) is back from the IL, but New York has mustered an AL-worst .208 batting average with a 78 wRC+ across the past 14 days. Nothing is going right at the moment in the Bronx.

Shea Langeliers, Athetics vs. Tampa Bay Rays, $5,500 – Few players are hotter at the moment than Langeliers, who has mashed nine home runs over his last 15 games. It’s a span of time where the backstop is slashing .391/.412/.891 with a .500 ISO that truly looks like a mistake. These, my friends, are video game numbers. Shockingly, Langeliers is one of few Athletics that hasn’t really enjoyed hitting at Sutter Health Park in 2025, but that shouldn’t stop you from rostering him on Monday in a matchup with Ryan Pepiot ($8,000). Tampa’s RHP has struggled to keep the ball in the yard this season, giving up 1.86 long balls per nine to opposing RHBs.
Value
Andrew Vaughn, Milwaukee Brewers vs. Pittsburgh Pirates, $3,600 – Sometimes the disconnect between DFS and betting is advantageous. I mentioned Vaughn in my home run props article for this evening, as the former first-round pick actually owns the shortest odds of any player to hit a home run in this matchup with the Pirates. Yet, despite that, Vaughn remains priced well under $4,000 in fantasy. Go figure. Vaughn has been a man possessed since joining the Brewers back on July 7, slashing .348/.412/.629 with a 188 wRC+. Meanwhile, Andrew Heaney ($5,700) has beeb terrible since late May, surrendering 2.58 opponent home runs per nine with a 6.52 ERA over his last 13 outings. Vaughn’s always hit LHPs well. This is a golden opportunity.
Value
Liover Peguero, Pittsburgh Pirates at Milwaukee Brewers, $3,300 – On the other side of this tilt, we find Peguero, who carries positional eligibility at both first base and shortstop on this slate. It’s not a large sample, but the 24-year-old has found some success at the MLB level in 2025, smacking four home runs and managing a 117 wRC+ in his 49 plate appearances. Most notably for the purposes of DFS, Peguero is dirt cheap and hit leadoff the last time Pittsburgh faced a southpaw. Jose Quintana ($7,500) has been as solid as ever for the Brewers this season, yet he also owns a 4.79 xERA. He’s not a name you have to avoid.

Brent Rooker, Athletics vs. Tampa Bay Rays, $5,700 – The Athletics sport one of this slate’s highest implied team totals, so we might as well keep highlighting their lineup. Rooker has been one of the premier right-handed power bats in the league dating back to 2023 and, in 2025, he’s equipped with a 90th percentile expected slugging rate (.523) and a 87th percentile expected wOBA (.372). Rooker also had four multi-hit performances in his last six games, a span of time where the All-Star has collected five extra-base knocks. Not bad!
Value
Wilyer Abreu, Boston Red Sox at Houston Astros, $4,100 – Let’s start with Abreu. The 26-year-old is in the midst of a true breakout season, as Abreu has become one of the league’s top platoon bats. In his 313 plate appearances against RHPs in 2025, Abreu has hit 20 home runs and mustered a .251 ISO and a 120 wRC+. LHBs were the way to attack Cristian Javier ($8,300) in 2024, as the RHP surrendered a .412 opponent wOBA within the split. Now, Javier will be making his first MLB start in over 14 months. Considering he walked 15 batters in 14.0 innings in his rehab outings in the minors, I fear Javier isn’t quite ready for the challenge that lays ahead on Monday night. A Boston stack might be the way to go.
