Home runs. Long balls. Bleacher reachers. Whatever you want to call them, people love watching and betting on home runs during baseball games. So much so, we’ve got a whole article dedicated to just that.
There’s 11 games on the diamond this evening. Let’s roll through my top three picks to go yard.
Top Home Run Props on DraftKings Sportsbook
Spencer Steer 1+ Home Run (+475)
Full disclosure: Taijuan Walker has been much better in 2025 than he was in 2024. Remember, this is a man who surrendered a .435 opponent expected wOBA on batted ball events last season — a first percentile mark in all of baseball. That said, the concept of Walker toeing the rubber at Great American “Small” Park is harrowing and the RHP has been reverting back to his long ball ways in recent weeks. To wit, Walker has allowed 10 opponent home runs across his past nine outings, a span of only 30.2 innings. For those not wanting to do the math, that’s 2.94 homers per nine. Gross. For his part, Steer leads all qualified Reds’ hitters with three home runs and a .267 ISO over the past 14 days. He’s also been at his best in Cincinnati, registering eight of his 13 long balls for the year in his home stadium. With Walker struggling, these are pretty juicy odds for someone with Steer’s power ability.
William Contreras 1+ Home Run (+400)
While Contreras hasn’t hit anyone as well as usual in 2025, his numbers against southpaws have been particularly underwhelming. Not because they’re among the worst splits in the league or anything severe, but because he’s been so effective in opposite-hand matchups throughout his career. In fact, Contreras owns a .311 average and a 155 wRC+ versus LHPs at the MLB level. It’s a sample of well over 600 plate appearances, too. Tonight, he’ll get the opportunity to get back on track within the split in a matchup with the reeling Andrew Heaney. The veteran lefty started the season well for the Pirates, yet Heaney’s pitched to a 6.52 ERA over his last 13 outings, conceding 2.58 opponent home runs per nine in the process. As you’d expect, things have been at their lowest for Heaney when taking the mound away from the pitcher-friendly confines of PNC Park, as he’s surrendering 2.29 long balls per nine on the road for the entirety of 2025. Andrew Vaughn (+310) is another name to keep an eye on in this spot.
Brent Rooker 1+ Home Run (+225)
The Athletics are playing the Rays, which means a minor league ball park has to be involved this evening. On Monday, the stadium in question will be Sutter Health Park, a place that has been giving pitchers nightmares all season long. In fact, the field in Sacramento has been operating as the league’s second-best hitter’s park in 2025 according to Baseball Savant’s Park Factors, while also serving as MLB’s seventh-best place to hit a home run. That’s bad news for Ryan Pepiot. Tampa’s RHP has given up 24 opponent long balls so far this season — tied for the fourth-most of any pitcher. Pepiot is also surrendering 1.86 home runs per nine specifically to opposing RHBs. That’s where Rooker comes into the picture. Since the beginning of 2023, Rooker has the fourth-most homers of any full-time right-handed bat in baseball (93), trailing only Aaron Judge, Marcell Ozuna and Pete Alonso. In 2025, Rooker’s .523 expected slugging rate ranks in the 90th percentile of MLB. He’s got some legit pop.
