Heading into the weekend of the 3M Open, one golfer sits atop the leaderboard, and his name is Thorbjørn Olesen ($7,300; 92.5 FPTS).
After a great round on Thursday that consisted of 10 birdies and a bogey, Friday’s front nine was rough. Yes, he did rack up four birdies, but also had a bogey and a double-bogey on Hole 15. Order was restored on the back nine with four birdies to finish the day -5 (66). Olesen leads the field by one stroke.
In the $800K Summer Sand Trap tournament, Olesen is rostered on only 3% of teams.
DraftKings Sportsbook has Olesen as the favorite to win it all at +450 to win it all, tied with Jake Knapp ($8,900; 82 FPTS).
Knapp had a unblemished round on Thursday with five birdies and an eagle. On Friday, it was another unblemished round with six birdies, which included a three-birdie streak on the first three holes of the day. Knapp is one stroke off the lead heading into the weekend.
Knapp is rostered on 21.95% of teams, the fourth-most.
Sam Burns ($10,500; 42 FPTS) is both the most expensive and highest-rostered golfer at 28.36%.
Thursday’s round was an E-fest with two bogeys and two birdies. He finished E (71). On Friday, he made progress with four birdies on the front nine. On the back nine, he birdied the first and last holes with a bogey and two more birdies in between.

Tony Finau ($9,100; 22.5 FPTS) is rostered on 14.8% of teams. After shooting a -2 (69) on Thursday, Finau went +6 (77) on Friday. He racked up three bogeys on the front nine. After a birdie on the second hole of the back nine, Finau notched two straight double-bogeys. He closed out the round with a birdie and a bogey on the final hole.
Michael Thorbjornsen ($8,500; 30 FPTS) is rostered on 21.46% of teams. Thorbjornsen’s tournament was essentially over after Thursday’s +5 (76). He did shoot much better on Friday with a -2 (69), but it was too little too late. The front nine consisted of an eagle and a bogey. On the back nine, he racked up two birdies and a bogey.
Beau Hossler ($7,100; 30 FPTS) is rostered on 11.36% of teams. Hossler went +3 (74) on Thursday. Friday’s round was eventful, but ended up E (71). Hossler bogeyed the first hole of the day, then notched a double-bogey three holes later. He did get two strokes back with two birdies. The back nine started off birdie, bogey and birdie. Another double-bogey was racked up two holes later before birdies on the final two holes of the round.
Maverick McNealy ($10,300; 32.5 FPTS) is rostered on 25.94% of teams. McNealy is the second-highest priced and third-most rostered golfer. After Thursday’s E (71), McNealy replicated the feat on Friday. The front nine consisted of two bogeys and a birdie. The back nine had three birdies and two bogeys.
Si Woo Kim ($9,200; 33.5 FPTS) is rostered on 13.22% of teams. Kim went -1 (70) on Thursday. He went -1 (70) on Friday. The front nine consisted of two birdies and two bogeys. The back nine was boring with a sole birdie.
Max Greyserman ($9,300; 38 FPTS) is rostered on 16.44% of teams. After Thursday’s -2 (69), Greyserman went -1 (70) on Friday. On the front nine, he had a three-birdie streak on Holes 4, 5 and 6. Unfortunately, he gave back a stroke with a bogey on the next hole. The back nine consisted of two bogeys and a birdie.
Keith Mitchell ($8,600; 42 FPTS) is rostered on 10.53% of teams. Mitchell went -3 (68) on Thursday. He followed that up with an E (71) on Friday. The front nine consisted of a bogey and two birdies. After a birdie on the first hole of the back nine and two more birdies later, Mitchell closed out the day with a double-bogey and a bogey on the final hole.
Doug Ghim ($7,300; 32.5 FPTS) is rostered on 10.47% of teams. After Thursday’s -3 (68), Ghim was only able to muster a -1 (70) on Friday and missed the cut by a stroke. The front nine had three birdies and a bogey. All he had to do was par every hole on the back nine, and things were good for eight holes. Unfortunately, he notched a bogey on the final hole of the day.
Kevin Yu ($8,000; 42 FPTS) is rostered on 12.85% of teams. Yu went +1 (72) on Thursday. He made a valiant effort on Friday, finishing -5 (66), but he fell one stroke short of the cut. Yu racked up three birdies on the front nine. The back nine started with a bogey, but he got that stroke back with a birdie two holes later. Yu then went bogey, eagle and birdie, needing only a birdie on the final two holes to make it to the weekend, but he was only able to par those holes.
Andrew Putnam ($7,000; 33 FPTS) is rostered on 13.25% of teams. Putnam went -1 (70) on Thursday. On Friday, he went -3 (68) but fell one stroke short of the cut. The front nine had a bogey and two birdies. After a birdie on the first hole of the back nine, Putnam was only able to muster one more birdie.
