The NFL season is quickly approaching, and there are odds up on DraftKings Sportsbook for every game in Week 1.
This is a look at the best bets to consider for the anytime touchdown market for NFL Week 1.
NFL Week 1 Anytime Touchdown Scorers
Jets vs. Steelers: Garrett Wilson Anytime TD (+195)
Garrett Wilson just signed a huge contract extension to keep him with the Jets until 2030. Since he came into the league in 2022, he has had at least 1,000 receiving yards and 80 receptions in all three seasons with the Jets. The only other receivers in the NFL to hit those marks in each of the past three seasons are Ja’Marr Chase, Amon-Ra St. Brown, CeeDee Lamb and Davante Adams. Wilson has hit incredible heights in a short amount of time, despite having to deal with incompetent quarterback play and offensive coaching throughout his tenure with the Jets.
Even though he isn’t an elite NFL quarterback, Wilson has a great connection with new Jets quarterback Justin Fields. The two of them were college teammates at Ohio State and should already have a built-in feel for each other’s tendencies. They should start firing on all cylinders from the jump and get Wilson a touchdown against the Steelers in Week 1. Wilson had seven touchdown catches last year, and that number should go up now that he is no longer competing with Adams for red zone targets.
Falcons vs. Buccaneers: Drake London Anytime TD (+115)
Drake London is set to have a huge year in Atlanta. Last season, Kirk Cousins’ game started to fall off significantly as the season went on. That forced the Falcons to switch to Michael Penix Jr. at quarterback. Penix’s first start was a blowout win against the Giants, where the Falcons didn’t need to throw the ball. However, in Penix’s second and third starts, the Falcons’ final two games of the season, London combined for 193 yards on 17 catches with two touchdowns. Penix and London already found something special at the end of last season, and had a full offseason to build on that. London should light it up from the jump this season and find the end zone against Tampa Bay.
Bills vs. Ravens: Josh Allen Anytime TD (-115)
Bills vs. Ravens is one of the most anticipated games of Week 1. It will be the first Sunday Night Football game of the season, and the crowd in Buffalo will be out of control. The king of Buffalo, Josh Allen, should rise to the occasion and find the end zone with his legs. Since Allen entered the league in 2018, only Derrick Henry has more rushing touchdowns. Over the last two seasons, only Henry and Jalen Hurts have more, so he is not slowing down as he ages. Between his incredible instincts, fearlessness and massive frame that makes him so hard to tackle, Allen just finds his way into the end zone. Whether it is a designed quarterback run or a scramble when everything breaks down, he will maneuver his way across the goal line. Allen had two rushing touchdowns in Week 1 last season and should start the season strong with a rushing touchdown once again.
