For the second straight week and third time in five races, Shane van Gisbergen wins a NASCAR Cup Series race. He placed first in today’s Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway in Sonoma, California.
Van Gisbergen becomes the fourth driver to win at three Cup Series races this season. He joins Christopher Bell, Kyle Larson and Denny Hamlin.
The 36-year-old was the favorite to win this race with +120 odds on DraftKings Sportsbook. Kyle Larson had the next shortest odds at +550.
Chase Briscoe and Chase Elliott finished second and third, respectively, in Sunday’s race.
