It’s a busy day of Major League Baseball this Sunday, with some extra matchups deep into the evening. Sunday Night Baseball has a doubleheader with the Cards and Cubs in Wrigley in the early game followed by the Rangers and Padres from San Diego in the late matchup. Let’s dive into Game 2 and find some prop bets that make sense for Rangers at Padres on 7/6/25.
The Rangers are 44-45 after getting a win on Saturday and can move back to .500 with a win on Sunday night. They’ll send Jack Leiter Jr. to the mound against the Padres, who are 47-41 and start the day eight games back of the Dodgers in the NL West. The Friars are opening with David Morgan and using lefty Kyle Hart as a bulk reliever.
The Padres are slight -132 favorites on the moneyline for this matchup with the run line at 8.5 runs.

Best Bets for Rangers at Padres on 7/6/25 on DraftKings Sportsbook
Wyatt Langford 3+ Hits + Runs + RBI (+160)
I highlighted Langford in my top home run props of Sunday night, and this is a modified version of that pick with extra paths to victory. He could get to 3+ HRR (hits, runs and RBI) with a home run, or he can get there several different ways as he takes on Morgan, Hart and the Padres.
Langford has been limited to 68 games this season and has 116 total HRR, averaging 1.7 HRR per contest. Langford had three HRR in his return on Saturday.
He should be in an especially good matchup against Hart, who has let righties hit .338 batting average with seven homers and a .449 wOBA against him in a very small sample size.
San Diego Padres under 4.5 team runs (-115)
The Padres have scored four runs or fewer in three straight games and in eight of their last 10. They were held under this total in their win on Friday and their loss on Saturday.
Over the last two weeks, the Padres are hitting only .216 as a team, the second-lowest mark in the majors with a .281 wOBA and 10 homers. They’ve averaged 3.1 runs per game over that two-week span.
They’ll go against Jack Leiter Jr., who has been up and down this season but held the Mariners to just one run over six innings in his last outing. He has held opponents to three runs or fewer in seven of his last nine starts, and in this favorable spot on the road, he should be able to build on the success from his last start.
Fernando Tatis Jr. 2+ Total Bases (-110)
Tatis came up empty on Saturday, going 0-for-4 with a walk, but typically he racks up total bases when he’s playing at home. Before yesterday’s zero, he had 31 total bases in his previous 20 games.
He has a .263 home batting average with 80 total bases in 41 home games. He had over two total bases in each of his two previous games before going 0-for-4 on Saturday.
He should be able to bounce back against Leiter in the matchup of second-generation major leaguers. Leiter had held lefties to a .178 average but has allowed righties like Tatis to hit .271 with 13 extra-base hits and a .351 wOBA.
While I don’t think the Padres will score a ton of runs, I like Fernando’s chances to get a couple of total bases in this matchup. He has at least one hard-hit ball in six straight games with a 47.1% hard-hit rate and an average exit velocity over 90 miles per hour.
