MLB Best Bets: Top Starting Pitcher Prop Bets for Friday 6/13/25

Major League Baseball heads into another busy weekend that features some great series. All but two of the 30 MLB teams are playing on Friday night, giving plenty of great starting pitcher prop bets to consider. DraftKings Sportsbook offers a wide variety of markets for starting pitcher prop bets, and after looking at the options, my top plays of the night come from Jack Kochanowicz, Adrian Houser and Logan Webb.

Every day of the season, DraftKings Sportsbook offers multiple ways to get in on the action with player props, moneylines and picks against the spread from each MLB contest. You can also pick series winners, award winners and team futures, so be sure to check out all the options available on the MLB page of DraftKings Sportsbook.

Best Starting Pitcher Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook

Jack Kochanowicz over 3.5 runs allowed (+120)

Oriole Park at Camden Yards is one of the most hitter-friendly parks in play on Friday’s slate, and Kochanowicz has been one of the most hittable starting pitchers on the board.

As I laid out in my MLB Stacks, Kochanowicz has struggled especially against left-handed hitters, which is not good news for him against the lefty-heavy Orioles. I actually like Kochanowicz’s strikeout stuff and have backed him in my starting pitcher props in the past. In this matchup, though, I love getting plus-money on him to give up at least four runs.

In each of his last four starts, Kochanowicz has given up exactly four runs while giving up 26 hits, four homers, 11 walks and a 53.4% hard-hit rate.

The Orioles have disappointed overall this season and have dropped three of their last four games coming into this series, but since enough of their young bats are starting to come around, I think they’ll be able to score at least four runs against Kochanowicz on Friday night in Baltimore.

Since rain could be in the area, be sure to double-check the forecast before game time since a mid-game rain delay could shorten Kochanowicz’s start, making this a harder prop to hit.

Adrian Houser over 17.5 outs recorded (-115)

The White Sox are in Arlington to take on the Rangers, and they’ll send former-Ranger Adrian Houser to the hill to open the series. I included Houser as my top bargain pitcher of the night for MLB DFS contests, and I’m also backing him to get at least 18 outs against Texas in this pick in my starting pitcher props.

Houser started the 2025 season in Triple-A for the Rangers and went 2-2 with a 5.03 ERA and 4.82 FIP for the Round Rock Express, averaging five innings per start. Texas released him in mid-May, and he landed with the White Sox, where he has been impressive in four starts.

Houser has recorded at least 18 outs in each of his four starts, giving up just four runs in 24 1/3 innings with 20 strikeouts. He is only 1-1 since run support is always iffy with the White Sox, bu he has been able to pitch at least six innings against the Orioles, Royals, Mets and Mariners.

He’ll look to do the same on Friday against the Rangers, who had an offensive explosion in Minnesota to start the week, but are still one of the lighter-hitting teams in the majors this season. At home, the Rangers have scored the third-fewest runs in MLB, while hitting only .225 as a team with a 78 wRC+, meaning they are 22% below league average at Globe Life Field.

Based on his recent form, Houser should be able to get through six innings once again on Friday night, and although I’m not sure I’m ready to buy all the way in on his comeback just yet, I do like him for one of my top starting pitcher props this Friday.

Logan Webb over 5.5 Strikeouts (-130)

Webb’s strikeout ladder against the Dodgers is a great place to attack. His over/under at this level seems very solid, but you can get more aggressive for longer odds as well, going to 7+ at +150 or even 8+ at +295.

The risk is pretty obvious here — he’s facing the Dodgers, who are possibly the best lineup in the majors. However, Webb has been better this season than most people realize, and the Dodgers haven’t been impossible to strike out. For this pick to hit in Friday’s starting pitcher props, all we need is six strikeouts for Webb, regardless of how many runs he gives up or if he gets the win.

Webb has 101 strikeouts in 87 1/3 innings this season with a 10.4 K/9 and 28.5% K% that would both be new career highs. Webb has 27 strikeouts in 20 innings over his last three starts and has at least six strikeouts in eight of his last 10 starts. In those 10 starts, Webb has spun an average of 7.5 strikeouts per game.

Webb hasn’t faced the Dodgers this season but faced them four times last year, totaling 20 strikeouts in 21 2/3 innings.

The Dodgers have averaged over five runs per game over the last two weeks, but they also have a 21.4% K% against righties, which ranks exactly in the middle of the majors.

Webb facing Yoshinobu Yamamoto in the late game should be an outstanding matchup, and I expect him to bring a big performance to the big-game environment. Even if he doesn’t win, he should be able to rack up enough strikeouts to hit this over and maybe even climb the ladder to more winnings at longer odds.
