Wednesday night’s fantasy baseball slate has 10 games with plenty of exciting matchups to consider. While a few teams have their aces on the mound, for the most part, the scoreboard looks to be tilted in the offenses’ favor, which should result in plenty of fantasy production. As you build your roster, be sure to consider these three teams, which set-up well to be deployed as MLB stacks, based on their matchups and current form.
In case you’re new to the idea, “stacking” is an MLB DFS strategy that relies on multiple players from the same team increasing each other’s production while that team scores a lot of runs. Since multiple players earn points in most situations when runs are scored, building around several options from the same lineups can create positive correlation for your squad. If you can find the right matchup, stacking can be extremely effective because high-scoring teams usually have multiple players near the top of the overall leaderboard. Despite raising the risk of your lineup being shut down, the right stack can also carry you to the top of the leaderboard.
Here are my top three MLB DFS stacks for this Wednesday.

1. Los Angeles Dodgers
Shohei Ohtani ($6,400)

Over the last two weeks, the Dodgers have averaged 5.9 runs per game, the second-highest total in the majors, while hitting 20 homers with a .260 batting average and .340 wOBA. They have scored more runs at home than any other team in the majors by a wide margin and have a .285 batting average at Dodger Stadium with a .377 wOBA and 146 wRC+ — which means they are 46% more effective at run production than a league average team when they’re playing at home.
They’ll face Mets’ starting pitcher Griffin Canning ($7,900) on Wednesday, who has been a great turnaround story this season. He has allowed eight runs in 5 2/3 innings in his last two starts, though, including one against the Dodgers, in which he lasted just 2 2/3 innings. In his career against the Dodgers, the former Angel has a 4.56 ERA in 23 2/3 innings.
Teoscar Hernandez has had success against him in the past, going 4-for-10 with a home run. Ohtani and Freeman are always strong pay-up plays to consider when the Dodgers face a righty. Ohtani has averaged 11.8 fantasy points per game over his last 10 contests and homered in the first game of this series on Monday. Pages has been a sneaky solid play, averaging 9.9 fantasy points per game over his last 10, while Muncy has suddenly gone nuclear, with five home runs in his last four games while averaging 23.5 fantasy points per game.
2. Baltimore Orioles

The Orioles haven’t been nearly as productive this season as many expected them to be, but they have a great matchup on Wednesday night on the road in Seattle. They’ll face righty Emerson Hancock ($6,500), who has a 5.64 ERA, 5.11 FIP and 1.57 WHIP in his nine starts. He has been an even better target for MLB stacks when at home, where he has a 9.53 ERA, 7.13 FIP and 2.12 WHIP in 17 innings.
He has given up eight home runs this year and five have come to left-handed hitters, which is why I’m stacking up O’s lefties like Henderson, O’Hearn, Holliday and Kjerstad. I highlighted how hot Holliday has been in my MLB DFS targets and included O’Hearn in my top home run props for the day. Both players have high ceilings and have been very productive lately. O’Hearn is averaging 11.0 fantasy points over his last 10 games, while Holliday is averaging 9.2 fantasy points over that same stretch. Kjerstad has three hits in his last two games, including a double and a triple, while Mayo has picked up a hit in two of his three games since re-joining he team from Triple-A. Getting them as bargain plays to round out the stack could be huge, as it will enable you to add other top salaries to the mix.
3. Minnesota Twins

The Twins scored 10 runs in back-to-back games in Sacramento and get another good matchup on Wednesday against the Athletics. Sean Newcomb ($7,000) spent most of the season working out of the bullpen for the Red Sox, but was just re-acquired by the A’s. He’ll make his first start for them in this matchup after posting a 3.77 ERA and 3.38 FIP in Boston this year. Last year with the A’s, he had a 6.30 ERA and 7.07 FIP, but only pitched 10 innings.
The lefty will face a lineup that will likely be stocked with righties, who have hit .340 against him this season, including two of his three home runs allowed. Buxton has come off the concussion IL red-hot, with four straight games of two hits each. He is a great place to start the Twins stack since he’s locked into the leadoff spot. Ty France has gone 14-for-38 (.368) over his last 10 games for an average of 7.4 fantasy points per game. Castro and Correa have started to come around lately after some injury issues, and Lee is a great affordable option in the middle infield.
The Athletics have an awful 8.60 team ERA over the last two weeks, with 2.39 HR/9 allowed and a 6.54 FIP. Newcomb may not be fully stretched out, and the Twins should continue to feast on the bullpen if he has to leave early.
