Monday night has a nice six-game fantasy baseball slate on tap for DraftKings DFS fantasy baseball contests. As all new series get underway, the six matchups include three divisional matchups, along with another NLCS rematch between the Mets and Dodgers. As you assemble your squad, let’s hone in on three spots where the setup looks favorable for MLB stacks based on the matchups and current form.
In case you’re new to the idea, “stacking” is an MLB DFS strategy that relies on multiple players from the same team increasing each others’ production if that team scores a lot of runs. Since multiple players earn points when runs are scored in most situations, building around options from the top scoring lineups creates a positive correlation on your roster. If you can find the right matchup, MLB stacks can be extremely effective because high-scoring teams usually have multiple players near the top of the overall leaderboard. Despite raising the risk of your lineup going quiet, the right stack can also carry you to the top of the leaderboard.

1. Los Angeles Dodgers

The Dodgers were held in check on Sunday night but still took two of three from the Yankees over the weekend. They’ll face the other team from New York as they go against Paul Blackburn ($6,400) on Monday. Blackburn will be making his first MLB start of the season after starting the season on the IL due to knee inflammation. In the minors, he ramped up with 29 1/3 innings over seven games, posting a 3.68 ERA and 4.66 FIP. He did work 6 1/3 and seven innings in his last two outings, so he should be fully stretched out, but he had a 4.66 ERA and 4.63 FIP in his 14 starts last season, so the Dodgers’ lineup should be able to keep rolling.
Ohtani and Freeman have been carrying the load lately, while Betts (toe) missed three straight games after fracturing his left big toe on Wednesday. He is set to rejoin the lineup in the next few days, though, and he makes sense when he’s back in his typical spot in the batting order. Ohtani has 10 homers over his last 17 games with a 60.8% hard-hit rate and 19.6% barrel rate. Ohtani and Freeman are both pricey, though, so Pages and Muncy can help balance out your spending. Muncy earned 43 and 17 fantasy points in the last two games with three homers, while Pages has 10+ fantasy points in four of his last five games and also homered in back-to-back games over the weekend.
2. Minnesota Twins

The Twins’ offense hasn’t been a regular in our MLB stacks like the Dodgers, but they make sense this Monday since they’re in a great spot against the Athletics at Sutter Health Park. The weather forecast is favorable for offense in Sacramento, and the matchup should also be a good one for the Twins based on the struggles Luis Severino ($7,000) has had at home and the Athletics’ pitchers as a whole have had over the last few weeks.
Severino is 1-4 in his 12 starts with a decent 3.89 ERA overall, but he has a 6.20 home ERA and 4.00 xFIP at home. The Athletics’ pitching staff has allowed 31 homers over the last two weeks along with posting a 7.88 ERA and 6.40 FIP. They have allowed a 46.1% hard-hit rate in those 13 games with a 15.2% barrel rate, both the highest marks in the majors by a wide margin.
I highlighted Buxton in my top home run props for the day based on all the trends in the Twins’ favor, and he is a great place to start building your stack. Wallner and Larnach both bring boom-or-bust power potential. Larnach is 11-for-33 (.333) over the last eight games with four extra-base hits and an average of 7.9 fantasy points per game. Correa has three homers in his last nine games, and Lee offers nice bargain versatility with five hits in his last four games.
3. Milwaukee Brewers

The Brewers have hit their stride over the last week, winning seven straight games, including sweeps of both the Red Sox and Phillies. They piled up 28 runs in their three-game sweep in Philly, highlighted by their 17-run outburst on Saturday.
This week, they’ll continue their road trip with a stop in Cincinnati to take on the Reds at hitter-friendly Great American Ball Park. They’ll go up against Brady Singer ($7,500), who has gone 6-3 in his 11 starts with the Reds, posting a 4.60 ERA, 4.19 FIP and 1.33 WHIP. He has allowed multiple runs in each of his last five starts with a 6.39 ERA over that stretch and 10 barrels for a 11.0% barrel rate and 45.1% hard-hit rate over that stretch. Left-handed hitters have hit six of the seven homers off Singer this season.
Yelich will be on the strong side of that split if he’s able to play Monday after being hit on the hand in Sunday’s win. He had been heating up by going 17-for-41 (.415) over his previous nine games with five homers and an average of 16.9 fantasy points per game. Chourio has also been hot, going 15-for-44 (.341) with an average of 12.7 fantasy points per game over his last 10 contests and has reached double-digit fantasy points in seven of his last 11 games. Durbin is a good value option to consider with speed upside from the bottom third of the lineup at the hot corner.
