The PGA TOUR is in Ohio this week for the second-to-last Signature Event of the 2025 season. Muirfield Village Golf Club hosts this week’s event at “Jack’s Place,” with the Golden Bear’s influence everywhere on the course and throughout the event. As a Signature Event, the tournament features an elevated purse and draws a very strong field to the limited field event. The field of 72 will have a cut after Round 2 to the top 50 and ties and anyone within 10 shots of the lead. The course is typically difficult and demanding, with top players in the world contending down the stretch. The showcase should offer plenty of drama and be a fun week to build your bankroll using this week’s fantasy golf cash games! My top picks for cash contests this week are Scottie Scheffler ($13,300), Harris English ($7,800) and Adam Scott ($7,200)

The pivot plays for tournament lineups are more aggressive, while these three picks are generally less aggressive picks with higher floors and lower risk. The picks in this post usually have much higher ownership than the pivot plays, but they still make good plays in contests where your lineup being unique is less important. Think of cash game picks as laying back and playing a par 5 as it was designed with three shots before reaching the green, looking for a solid birdie. Tournament picks are doing driver off the deck to try to reach the green in two—more reward if it works, but much more risk as well.
Just to be sure we’re all using the same terms, “cash games” are contests that pay out to about the top half of entries. Typically, they are in the 50/50s & Double Ups or Head-to-Head sections of the DraftKings lobby. In this format, it’s important to minimize risk and raise the floor of your entry rather than focusing too much on the ceiling.
With those ground rules set up, let’s dive deeper into my top three fantasy golf cash game plays for this week at the Memorial.
Scottie Scheffler ($13,300)
Scheffler’s ownership will continue to be very high this week, especially in cash games. He has been so reliable that even when he doesn’t win, he’s hard to fade for cash lineups since his floor is so high.
In a “down” week last week, he still finished T4 at the Charles Schwab Challenge. He won his two previous events at THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson and the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow. He pulled away over the weekend to claim his third career major championship two weeks ago, but he seemed to run out of gas a little bit on Sunday in Fort Worth.
Still, with eight top-10 finishes in 11 events this season and no finish worse than a T25, he’s almost impossible to fade since he brings so much win equity and such a high floor. Over his last 24 rounds, Scheffler leads the field in Total Strokes Gained, Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green and Strokes Gained: Approach. Almost any way to slice the numbers, Scottie is near the top of the list, just like he is most weeks on the leaderboard. Ultimately, he’s just too good to pass up right now if you’re playing a fantasy golf cash game.
Harris English ($7,800)
While he’s no Scottie, English has had a very solid year on the PGA TOUR so far, including his fifth career PGA TOUR victory at the Farmers Insurance Open. Torrey Pines has lots of similarities to Muirfield Village since both are par-72 layouts that demand lots of length off the tee and touch around the greens.
English has built on that early-season win and made the cut in 11 of his last 12 events, including four top-20 finishes in his last six. He posted great finishes at both majors this season, with a T12 at the Masters and a T2 at the PGA Championship. If he can contend in those fields on those courses, he should be able to be in the mix this week as well.
Over the last 24 rounds, which does not date back to his win, he ranks in the top 20 in the field in Strokes Gained: Off-the-Tee and Total Strokes Gained. He’ll be playing this course for the seventh time in his career. He missed the cut last year, but he posted two top-20 finishes in 2015 and 2020. Since he comes back this year in good form, he makes a solid option for your fantasy golf cash game lineup this week.
Adam Scott ($7,200)
Compared to Adam Scott, both Harris English and Scottie Scheffler are newbies at this event. Scott has teed it up at this event 15 times with 14 made cuts in his career. He hasn’t been just squeaking through, either, with seven top-25 finishes, five top-10 finishes, and a runner-up back in 2019. While he didn’t play here last year, he did finish in the top 10 just two years ago.
The 44-year-old veteran hasn’t had a top 10 yet in 2025. He has been relatively steady this season, making the cut in eight of his 10 tournaments. Since missing the cut at the Masters, he has posted three strong finishes that have gotten progressively better with a T49 at the RBC Heritage, a T34 at the Truist, and a T19 at the PGA Championship two weeks ago.
His outstanding course history and trending recent form make him really stand out from the other options in the lower $7,000s. His steady showings have made him a long-time fantasy golf fixture, and at this cheap salary, he can be a solid way to round out your cash lineup with a very high floor along with a sneaky ceiling this week at Muirfield Village Golf Club.
