TODAY’S MOST BET MLB PLAYER PROPS

BREAK IT DOWN:

Aaron Judge 1+ Home Runs (+160): Judge starts the day in a three-way tie for the MLB lead with 12 home runs on the season. His 12 home runs have come in 37 games, putting him on pace for 53 homers. Five of his home runs have come in his last 11 games, and he has a 51.5% hard-hit rate and a 24.2% barrel rate over that span. He gets a great matchup against the Athletics on Friday, going against Osvaldo Bido at Sutter Health Park. Sutter Health Park has had the highest right-handed hitter wOBA of any MLB park this season, and Bido has allowed seven home runs in his seven starts, allowing righties to post a .406 wOBA. This will be the first meeting between Judge and Bido in their careers.

Fernando Tatis Jr. 1+ Home Runs (+205): Tatis and the Padres are at Coors Field in a juicy matchup against Antonio Senzatela. Senzatela has allowed five home runs in 15 1/3 innings at home this season. Seven of the eight home runs he has allowed on the season have come to right-handed hitters like Tatis, and all eight have come in his last five starts. Tatis hasn’t homered since April 20, so he comes in with a 14-game homer drought that the public thinks he has a good chance to snap. He has six home runs in 27 games in his career at Coors Field and has a 55.3% hard-hit rate during his homer-less streak, so he definitely hasn’t been slumping or making poor contact.

Shoehei Ohtani 1+ Home Runs (+220): Ohtani has 11 dingers on the season and is the third-most popular prop bet on the board this Friday. Ohtani and the Dodgers are on the road in Arizona against lefty Eduardo Rodriguez. Ohtani has hit four home runs in his last six games with an 87.5% hard-hit rate over those six games. Saying Ohtani is “locked in” at the plate seems understated at this point, and even in a lefty-lefty matchup, he’s getting plenty of attention Friday night at Chase Field, where he has three home runs in his last five appearances.
