The NASCAR Cup Series hits the Texas Motor Speedway for the Wurth 400 on Sunday, and Carson Hocevar will have the prime position after winning the pole in Saturday’s qualifying race.
Hocevar hasn’t won a Cup Series race this season, but his performance on Saturday gives him an excellent start to Sunday’s competition. It’s the first Cup Series pole the young driver has won in his career.
The 22-year-old is in his second full season in the Cup Series and is searching for his first victory. He made his Cup Series debut in 2023 as a part-time driver, but he joined NASCAR in 2019 as a Truck Series driver.
Hocevar has history at the Texas Motor Speedway, having won his first ever NASCAR Truck Series race on the track in 2023. He’ll look to capture his first Cup Series win on the same track in 2025.
Hocevar enters the 2025 Wurth 400 with +2500 odds of winning the race on DraftKings Sportsbook. Kyle Larson is the favorite at +350 and William Byron is second at +500.
The Wurth 400 will take place on Sunday, May 4 at 3:30 p.m. ET at the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas.
