Miami Heat vs. Cleveland Cavaliers prediction, pick for NBA Playoffs Game 4

The Cavaliers have a chance to finish off a sweep of the Heat on Monday night in Miami, as they look to become the second team in the NBA to advance to the second round of the playoffs. Monday’s Game 4 tips off at 7:35 in South Beach as the Heat try to stave off elimination. Let’s take a look at my Cavaliers vs. Heat best bets for Game 4 on DraftKings Sportsbook.

In the bigger picture, the Cavs are 8.5-point road favorites with the total at O/U 211 points. On the injury report, the big name to watch is Darius Garland (toe), who is questionable.

Cavaliers Team Total Points over 110.5 (-102)

The Cavaliers’ offense has been spectacular all season, and they have been clicking on all cylinders in the playoffs even with Garland’s injury. I’d be surprised with this low of a team total for the Cavs in any matchup, but especially after the first three games in the series. Since I’m more confident in the Cavs being good than the Heat keep this close, I slightly prefer attacking this line as one of my Cavaliers Heat best bets rather than taking over on the total points in the game.

The Cavs averaged an NBA-leading 121.9 points per game in the regular season and have scored 121, 121 and 124 points in their three wins in this series. They reached 124 points in Miami in Game 3 without Darius Garland playing and with Donovan Mitchell going just 4-for-14 from the field with 13 points. The Cavs’ rotation is deep and high-scoring as a whole group, and De’Andre Hunter and Ty Jerome are leading a strong bench so far in this postseason.

The Heat have shown no ability to limit the Cavs yet in this series, and even in their Play-In tournament run, they allowed over this point line to the Hawks as well. If you want to play this as a ladder bet, you could even throw a little on the Cavs to go over 119.5 at a juicy +332. Getting them to score at least 111 at basically even money is a strong play in this contest, given how sharp they have been both in the regular season and the postseason.

Davion Mitchell 15+ points (+165)

Mitchell and Bam Adebayo have been the only two consistent contributors for the Heat in the postseason and getting Mitchell to get to 15 points at this great number is definitely one of my Cavaliers Heat best bets for Game 4. He has scored at least 15 points in every one of the Heat’s five games this postseason, including each of the three in this series.

Mitchell had 18 points in each of the first two games of the series and then 15 points on Saturday in Game 3. He has been red-hot from the field and hit multiple three-pointers in every postseason game for Miami.

Due to his defensive contributions, he is playing huge minutes for the Heat, but he’s also contributing on offense. He’s an awesome plus-money option to get to 15 points again on Monday night as the Heat battle for their playoff lives.

Max Strus over 12.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-115)

Strus has started each of the three games in this series against his former team and hit at least three three-pointers in each contest. He had 11 PRA (Points + Rebounds + Assists) in Game 1 but then went off for 21 PRA in Game 2 and 32 PRA in Game 3. He helped pick up more work with Garland out and grabbed nine rebounds after getting just a single board in Game 1 and another solitary rebound in Game 2.

This PRA line is low enough that he can hit it without going off in scoring or rebounding, but he should be able to clear it with or without Garland in the mix.

While the rotations have been a little different in the playoffs, Strus went over this line in five of his last seven regular-season games as well, and he seems to be playing his role well on the wing in the Cavs’ current playoff rotation.
