Just when you think you have everything figured out, the writers of Daredevil: Born Again found a few ways to throw in a few more twists. Outstanding penultimate episode. Lots to take stock of before watching Daredevil: Born Again’s Season 1 finale. Speaking of which, let’s look at the upcoming episode’s details.
Disney+ has been dropping episodes of Daredevil: Born Again at 9 p.m. Eastern Time on Tuesdays. Two pairs of episodes dropped at the same time (1 and 2, then 5 and 6), but all others had solo drops. The Season 1 finale of Daredevil: Born Again will have a solo drop on Tuesday, April 15 at 9 p.m. ET.
Timing notes
Episode 8 clocked in at 51:37, which met our expectations. It was only the third episode of the season to exceed 50 minutes, but there was a lot of ground still to cover going into these final two.
With episode 8 exceeding 50 minutes and the season-opener being the show’s longest yet (60:49), it seems reasonable to expect the finale will be north of 50 minutes.

- After hearing very little from Bullseye since the opener, Benjamin Poindexter has made sure viewers never sleep on him again. Not sure whether this was deliberate or not — certainly didn’t feel forced or on-the-nose — but Wilson Bethel’s Bullseye using his own tooth to break out of prison absolutely felt like an attempt to one-up the signature moment for Colin Farrell’s version of Bullseye (from the Ben Affleck Daredevil movie).
- Something that’s been recurring throughout Season 1 of Daredevil: Born Again has been the mirroring of Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk’s life. This is akin to the comic book run this story has been based on. Episode 8 was massive in this regard, as we saw things go sideways for Murdock while Fisk’s situation vastly improved — at least, during that portion of the episode.
- This show is ever-evolving. Nothing is too permanent for Daredevil or Kingpin. We found out Vanessa Fisk was the one who ordered a hit on Foggy Nelson in episode 1. Kingpin didn’t know — he still doesn’t! I’m sure that’ll go over well. But what stole the show in the penultimate episode was not Daredevil but Matt Murdock, who risked his life for Fisk when Bullseye attempted to attack NYC’s mayor at Fisk’s celebration. This may torture Daredevil down the line, but it’s also going to enrage Fisk, who now owes his favorite vigilante in a massive way. As Bullseye said to Murdock in prison, “That’s what good men do. Defend their worst enemies.”
But that’s not the only headache Fisk will have on his plate soon. It appears BB Ulrich is using pseudonyms to attack Fisk. And now she’s partnering up with the police commissioner, who despises the mayor and his task force of delinquents. If Kingpin doesn’t lose his cool in the Daredevil: Born Again finale as a result of this and Murdock’s actions, I’ll be shocked.
